That stunt with Spike’s hand almost got James Marsters into trouble. He wanted Spike to become a recurring character so he agreed to do the stunt with the fire by saying he’d done similar stunts before (he hadn’t). His idea was that he’d impress the show runners by his willingness to do the stunt. The flame effect is produced by having a fuel source put on top of a flame retardent gel. The gel protects the skin from the flame long enough to get the shot after which the flame is quickly put out. Unfortunately James Marsters let the flame go too long and it burnt down through the flame retardant gel. As a result his hand got quite badly burnt. Luckily though this stunt was the last shot to be completed on the episode so he faked like everything was fine and after the end of shooting he rushed himself to hospital to get it treated. It took him years to confess that this had happened to anyone.

Can we all take a minute to appreciate how daring Spike is? Most vampires hide from the sun and would just wait until the night to drive out of town but not him, Spike blacked out the windows of his car so he can drive in daylight, even if it means he can only see the road through a tiny hole and getting to close to said hole could potentially burn or even kill him, other vampires are scared of the sun, Spike treats it like a small inconvenient. Also going into The Slayer's home and hanging out with her mom for long enough to share his relationship problems over hot chocolate? Makes you realize what makes him so dangerous as an enemy, he has no fear, it's no wonder he managed to kill two Slayers.

Some times I watch videos on 1.25 or 1.5 speed and every time I see Alley's welcoming in the video I always have to check to make sure I'm not on a higher speed accidentally

1st of all, good call, I need the election day distraction right now. 2ndly, that Cordelia death fake-out is SO unfair and mean...but I kinda love it.

I cannot tell you how much I loved the HSM part 😂😂😂

OK Someone has to give Alley a Snoopy Pez dispenser in absence of an Oz Pop.

Two things cannot change about your reactions... The quote of the day and, of course, the dab! :-D

I never get tired of seeing people react to "So Cordelia's gonna be okay?" 😂

13:51 - A standout reaction moment (in a standout episode (in a standout season.)) My first viewings of the Buffyverse were out of order (I caught later events in syndication and then got into it) so I never had the experience of falling for this fake-out, but it's a lot of fun to watch people react to it.

First time I watched the episode I litteraly screamed when the fake Cordelia death happened.

Spike hit the hammer on the nail with his “you’ll never be friends” speech! Without spoiling, his speech makes more sense after watching “Fool for Love” in S5

Omgggg i love your edits so much!! I cracked up a lot. The funeral and your reaction, it is indeed very mean of josh whedon. And the HSM edit 🤣🤣🤣 LOVED IT

It's almost midnight and I DO NEED THIS DISTRACTION. I don't even think buffy could help us now 😭 but this video will distract me enough to maybe help me go to sleep soon 😅 gonna go watch now!! Yay!

Just want to let you know how much I look forward to your reaction vids. I've been a Buffy fan since the first run, but it's like watching it fresh all over again. You're a delight.

Tying her up and torturing her IS probably the best way for Spike to get Dru to love him. I imagine she'd find it a turn on.

The editing. AMAZING. The cat bell jingles on angel! Literally should have been in the show.

Saw the title and said, "Oh here we go with the graveyard scene, can't wait!" Great reaction!

13:38 - 14:08 Pure gold! If you were ever on the fence on whether or not you like Cordelia, this moment decides it.

The thing with Spikes plan to woo Dru back, she IS into bdsm, so that would actually work.

Thank you for the high school musical edit 😂 It made me laugh so hard and I needed that today!

Has anyone else thought that Cordelia's injury was a physical manifestation of her emotional state?

I must have seen this episode 20 times at least but never realized how funny Willow's line " Don't move Cordy" was until I watched this edit

Spike is such a good character that on the UK youtube boxset image is Buffy and Spike and no one else. Its the same for the DVD boxset that I and my friends assumed he must be angel

Whedon is a genius. He makes us hate Cordelia for 2,5 years. Then he fake kills her to make us reliaze that we don't want her to die.

Come on, the Spike and Joyce scene with Angel outside made the episode!
