I have fished many a fly like suite cases full. My fishing buddy is a very prolific tier. Anyways I applied all I have learned into a damselfly that my 3 biggest rainbow's were caught with it An 8 an 9 and a 10lb. plus a big trout derby win if $1000. Interestingly the tippet was 10lb. Berkley Big Game that I caught off the bottom and spooled up. A I didn't give up as all tippet was gone. B I was still confident with that Damsel on. I always use a 7.5lb. or 8 tippet cause when I pin the hook in the scared up vomer the hook ain't coming out. Just saying. Personally I think the chronomide fisherman are putting themselves at a disadvantage when it comes to the lunkers of the lake. They just lose their mind.
