I don't understand much about power, even in-house electrical power. You said this isn't for home use but outdoor use. What wattage would I need if bugging out away from home (camping short term or indefinitely etc.), and same question if I stayed home and the grid went down? I did a basic Google search, which turned up Power Film LightSaver Max USB Roll-Up for $399.00. I can't tell from the description what wattage it is; do you know?

I got the 13w solar panel a couple months back. Defiantly handy to have. I use it to power up a couple of power banks when I go camping...which in turn power up several electronic devices. Defiantly handy to have the solar panel.

Equipamento incrível! Sem dúvida uma ótima opção para se ter em mão em um caso de emergência.

I purchased one of these on Gumtree used in the UK 2 days ago for £10. I tested it with a multimeter today in October sun (which is pretty low in the UK this time of year) and the output was 17.52 volts. Amazing piece of kit and bargain of the century for me.....Great review by the way.

+Canadian Prepper Hi...I managed to buy another new 10 watt panel off eBay for £50 but I've been let down by FlexSolarCells.com on supplying a daisy chain adapter. Could you possibly recommend a reliable source that would send to the UK without ripping me off? Thanks in advance.

Prepper Potpourri Made for Military and now for public as I said best prices I seen are at CaliforniaPC.com but Amazon also has many sizes. A 60 Watt is probably minimum you would need for a SHTF situation but they make 120 Watt and even 190 watt they make for military.

Do you think one panel will charge a laptop battery while the laptop is off? Thanks great vids.
@CanadianPrepper
@CanadianPrepper 9 жыл бұрын
+Cellar Dweller You would need to concentrate the power into a battery pack that could output the correct volts/ amperage|). Should trickle charge anything to be honest, for a laptop though a minimum of 20 watts is really needed to make it worth your while.

+Canadian Prepper I see the DC to AC you were talking about basically the battery of the laptop would be the battery back i assume..I see what you mean 20 watts would be better but would the 10 watt one charge it in a day??I think im gonna try one and see and probably by another one..Thanks Again John

Bullet holes!!!!!!!!!! That woke me up. I jumped on Ebay looking for more SHTF stuff and this caught my attention. This is still in my price range, but I am so lacking in electrical skills. I have a generator, but can't store much gas; besides, if/when the SHTF the last place I want to be is the gas pumps.

ReconSniper71 I lucked out and found these 10 watt ones on sale for a price that beat a 20 watt one at the time. They go up to 120 watts which gets very pricey (1200$). Really its about what you can afford, and what you need to power. 10 watts should cover a battery pack but 20 would be twice as good!

If they dropped the price, it would be sold everywhere...oh well... I would rather have 5 v versions, which oddly they do not make, strange and behind the times...
