This came with my dad's new PC back in 1997. He payed over £2000 for it. It came with this and a game called Helicops. Neither game were really that good, but are a huge hit of nostalgia

@@PunmasterSTP As a young kid I never beat world 1, then when I got older maybe like 9 or 10 I could beat the first two worlds and get to the exact same part as you. My Segas internal battery was already dead back in the 90s though so I could never save progress.

I would agree with you 110% with this game. I seen someone on KZbin earlier playing this game & Duke Nukem 3D i believe. If you were to call in Super Mario, these are the only 3 games i use to and would play. To watch video play of this game brings back to many memories from my child hood. As i am 32 yrs old now a days, has also put me on the hunt to find this game as well as Duke Nukem modified for Computer.

Bug and Bug 2 were some of my fav Sega Saturn games as a kid, I especially love the soul bug on Bug 2 that used to say the "peace, love and hair greese" skit 😂

Good ol' Bug; A gem forgotten by time, underappreciated and misunderstood... ...by far one of my most favourite platformers of all time, it's difficult beyond belief and its level design's absolutely magnificent. The sence of wonder and scale cannot be described, it's got to be experienced. Tully, the team behind Bug did a spectacular job in their approach to 2.5D; Every corner loaded with imagination and wonderful mechanics. Man, would I dig it if our friends at Sega went on to consider remastering this into a collection with the sequel added in, and have that draw distance expanded, along with HD rendered sprites of the original models and boom, bang, done! Either that or have remade! Allow the player to switch between the old and new engine... Although for that, they'd need a proper team redoing it, or else we'd end up with a cheap, sub par game, the like of the newest Panzer Dragon on Switch, a disastrous comeback done by people that couldn't even get the artstyle right, whose controls are poor and animation unrefined.

I never got past this level after the bubbles which made me give up on this game. Now I get to play it again and there are cheat codes that help u play all the levels but they are hard!!!

This game would have been quite the looker in 1995. It had a rich color palette and good sprites, and far above the SNES or Genesis's capabilities.

Eric Estevez the problem is the game is too frustrating. Each level is massive and broken into smaller sections which contain some really unforgiving platforming and obstacle avoidance. A lot of trail and error is required but the levels are so large it feels like a battle of attrition. It’s a shame because I really like the 3D platforming concepts it’s just not a fun game to pick up and play like Mario or Sonic. It’s a real slog to get through.

I had a demo of the PC version from a PC Gamer disc back when those had the Coconut Monkey point and click adventure episodes. I was a little kid and my PC was too slow where it ran at maybe 35% speed at the best of times. Lol it was one of the biggest frustrations for me at that age since I loved Mario games and it was also a platformer. I don't think Mario 64 existed yet tho. So it was like FFFUUUUUUUU

I can't believe how quickly you beat the game. And I didn't see you even take a hit. Bug! Is fun, but it's very long and hard for me. You can amass plenty of bonus lives and continues early on once you memorize where they are.

I like the exploration element and maze like structure of the levels but the controls are too stiff given the number of well timed jumps required to avoid death. It just gets more frustrating the deeper you get into the game.
