You ain't kidding about extremely powerful. Before I engaged the master vol, this beast almost stopped my heart.. I tried to hang but it made my heartbeat arrhythmic. with master vol engaged it's still plenty loud. Enough power to play festival stages. Beware of neutering your bandmates..

I have this amp and it sounds great. Using it at a show Friday. Mine has kt77. Hopefully it will do well playing live. I'm bringing my h&k as a back up in case something happens. Blew a tube and fuse twice at home due to a fault speaker cable. These amps don't like that, I know none do but it will blow immediately, first amp I've had that did that. Cool video. I've never used the gain on this amp. Just used it loud and clean with pedals. It's got headroom for years.

I have a Bugera 1960 infinium and can't make it sound as much as good, maybe I need an attenuator... Would you suggest the two notes torpedo captor 8 ohms? In theory it can handle up to 100 watt RMS, and I've never figured out if this amp is actually 150 or 100 watt RMS... I've pulled out two power tubes, but I still can't use it in parallel mode with the bypassed master volume without blowing everyone else's ears out. Actually I don't need to crank it, I have a friedman be od which is a pretty decent overdrive, but the clean sound sounds weird with the volume 1 set too much low... Any tips for getting a clean and pedal friendly tone on this amp?

scorp350 Do you have the Pre-Infinium 1960? It might be different with that.
@scorp3507 жыл бұрын
I have the Infinium version. According to the manual, the classic series jumper mode most do with an external cable is supposed to be built in, but the reviewer is saying it doesn't work that way & the external cable is still required.

Is this amp one of those that needs to be cranked in order to get the best tone out of it?
@salzulli62907 жыл бұрын
The Death Blooms pretty much. The master volume on the back will help for lower volume applications, but it's made to be cranked.
@clarkscott85325 жыл бұрын
You can crank it and keep it clean or dirty. I keep it clean and use pedals for drive. There's no quiet setting on this amp though so it sounds cranked with the master on 1 and the channels barely on. It sounds better to me with the master turned off but it is very loud.

+Tracy Street I haven't gigged with it or anything like that but I was playing it for a couple hours the other day and got it pretty hot. I shut it down for a little while came back and went to turn it on again and the front light started flashing and the infinium lights were flashing on the back. They stopped flashing and the third light stayed on which indicates a problem with that tube. I didn't see any evidence of the tube burning out or anything like that. I tried to turn it on a couple more times but it wouldn't so I let it cool down for a while. I tried again later and it worked fine and has been working fine ever since. I'm still on the fence about keeping it haven't made up my mind yet. It sounds decent but a little harsh to my ears. Maybe some new tubes will warm it up. I just removed the two inner power tubes to reduce power and heat. I'll be trying it out tomorrow.

a great amp. just got one today. I did notice it gets a little hot, and I did notice the tube indicator lights flashing, but no solid light.
