I have a Bugera Trirec. Absolutely killer amp. You can get about any tone you want from it. It has two voicings for the clean channel and three for each of the two overdrive channels. It has a built in boost and power attenuator. I owned a 333xl as well. Never had any issues. Played them for years

I think the noise gate on the 333 XL is best for situations where you have noisy electrical circuits, ungrounded outlets, etc. Because it really kills the interference.

I think the 333 is more versatile for a wider range of styles. I own the v55 head which I use mostly with pedals. I haven't had any problems with it. I bought it used 3 or 4 years after they came out. I wish the older ones had more depth to the reverb like the newer ones. A button next to the reverb knob to change the depth or dwell would be great

Straight to the point review, thanks. I have a little powerful Bugera V55 Infinium combo. They say it is hard to fix because no service circuit map is available, especially for the bias infinium circuit. Do You think I will be in troubles since I have read there are lots of smd components, in case of repairing or just a good valve experienced technician would fix it? Does Bugera offers a repair service for Tuscany, Italy? Thanks!!👏👍

I've played Bugera amps and cabs. They're very competitive as far as price and build quality. As with any amp you have to find one that works for your particular situation. I think these guys will be around for many years to come barring any unforeseen catastrophe. This company is making it affordable for the average guitarist. Guitar players today don't realize how much easier it is to get good quality gear for relatively little money 🤑🤑💰💰

I will upload a more detailed video about my studio gear, but in short I use a torpedo captor with the torpedo cab m. basically a reactive load and a cab simulator, so no real cab in the recording. They look amazing as well. Really good looking amps/ They know that people want to look at valves inside and they do not put a chunk of wood/metal/plastic over it so we can enjoy those glowing bastards. I really like my 6262 Infinium. I can play at night without any attenuator with 4x12 and no master volume!! I can barely reach 1/10 and it's +-85db so I have never heard it roaring yet but I bet it sounds even more amazing/ The only bad thing I can say about Bugera is that they footswitches are not available anywhere... and they have weird midi connector so you cannot find any substitutes for them... unfortunately. They are dead silent when switching channels though. Amazing for live playing. My Marshall DSL1 pops every single time you switch a channel... add some delay and you have c0cked up performance because some muppet have not designed it properly... I wish I could still buy TRIREC though :( they're not available anymore/

Regarding the 1960 amp, if you used the PPI Master volume it just does not sound that good. The Post Phase Inverter Master Volume makes the fizziness. That is the downside of this type of Master Volume, They allow to get distortion at lower volumes with the cost of added fizzyness.

So 333xl infinium has 2 different inputs which is what I found most interesting wonder if putting a high output guitar with pickups would sound in the low input and what kind of sounds you could do
@lovecraftmusic8717

Low input just gives you much less distortion despite the pickups.
@Archlegan
@Archlegan 2 жыл бұрын
So I have the 333XL and I have active pickups. I ran the low input just to try it and it sounds "almost" the same at lower volume. At high volume, it's trying to distort and overdrive less. On the forums I read one is attenuated and one is not and that's the function of it. Overall though no big difference in distortion or overdrive although I said it's less, it is less, but the 333xl wants to distort and overdrive anyways unless you're on the clean channel.
@Crunchifyable2
@Crunchifyable2 Жыл бұрын
@@Archlegan it is attenuated a bit so you get less drive out of the various channels but it also is a little darker at least with passive pickups. High input generally sounds best unless you are accidentally driving a clean channel or you are trying to get you know edge of break up tone out of one of the dirty channels.

its a tube amp, so likely not well. you need a solid state for low volume practice, that or an attenuator, but looking for a decent attenuator for a tube amp can be a challenge, because they often kill a lot of your eq spectrum. however if you're looking for decent cheap solid states to practice with, cant go wrong with a line 6 spyder series amp, the boss katana, any solid state joyo amp, or the peavey vypr. there's many more, but i'd say just look around. randall make some pretty decent solid states as well

What? Do they sound "cheap"? Since tone/sound/opinion is in the ear, how can this question exist? I've had a Bugera 333XL combo since they first came out, and it sounds killer. Sure, that's my opinion, but "cheap-sounding" is NOT a word I'd use to describe it. It's not an 80s Gorilla, but then again, to some people, Gorillas sound great! I have two of the three and they're both amazing amps that will literally destroy most other amps in their price range. Because basically the circuits in the amp you know the $5 parts determine the sound. And the cheap amps from big name companies are always sabotaged. They don't want you to buy a $600 amp they want you to buy a $3,000 amp, and the difference between the two is probably $5 in parts.

One thing that he doesn't emphasise enough about the Bugera 1960 is that the amp it's LOOOOOUUUUD, a very loud boi, even if you put the master volume on the back at it's lowest value, it is still very very loud. A massive issue with Bugera is that they break VERY easily. Expect to do A LOT of maintenance and mind-numbing trouble shooting if you buy one of these. @FulcrumsEdge
@FulcrumsEdge 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah no... I know that they have a reputation for "being cheap' and breaking or needing repair. I know that stories STILL abound of these things "catching fire". I've owned the 1990 infinium, the 6262 infinium, the 6260, the 333 combo and a G-20. I've not had a single issue other than I blew a fuse at a venue due to dirty power from the mains, funnily enough the amp was well built enough to survive the power surge, replaced fuse, and works like a champ still after 2 years later. They are about as bullet proof as they can be for around 500 dollars. The only major issue the Bugera line has ever had were manufacturing teething issues when they were first released due to contracted factories undercutting qc parameters and installing faulty tubes and poorly built transformers, resulting in very few isolated events where an amps power section would cook itself, however, based on the information I know of these teething issues were being addressed before the news of these issues ever caught traction with the public. This reputation is overwhelmingly unfair, especially considering the commonly known issues known with amp brands over the years from brands that have a lot "better" reputation, *cough* Ampeg, Marshall, etcetc *cough*. These commonly stated "reliability issues" are based on very few isolated events in the early inception of the bugera tube amps, in combination with being part of the Musictribe family under Behringer. Unless you've owned a single bugera amp and had unending issues with it, I'd be wise and avoid conversations that are founded in opinion and fed by gossip of the holier than thou's....

a lot of the early models, even the new infinium editions, had issues from what Ive heard, and as was mentioned above, but Ive heard none of that about models that came out in the mid teens, at least in the German forums I roam around. Still I haven't head from people who seriously abused them "on the road" so to speak, that I wonder who actually did just that. Cant blame them bc the 1960, for instance, is such a pain to lug around, you wont believe it. SO the lack of actual critical reviews from people who played those things in all kinds of venues, in comparison to an actual 1959, is what makes it hard to gauge the quality of the amp in the long run, other than its price.
@FulcrumsEdge
@FulcrumsEdge 2 жыл бұрын
@@maxmustardman298 all amp manufacturers have issues with reliability in tube amp production, it's the nature of the technology... Marshall, as an example, forever tarnished the reputation of the now proven and reliable as well as awesome sounding DSL100H & HR after the UK built JCM2000s were bonefied hunks of junk. Its easy to discard Bugera as comparable in reliability to higher priced amps, which they have managed to do a pretty good job at, regardless of peoples preconceived opinions about amps they've never set eyes on outside of KZbin. Like I said, I've owned quite a few of them, never had an issue, save one time, and it was not a manufacturing issue, a blown fuse on my 1990 Infinium, it suffered no other damage aside from needing a replacement fuse.
