In fairness, Leif absolutely has a sense of humor. It's very deadpan and roughly as dry as the chapter 4 desert, but it's definitely there. I can def see either interpretation being reasonable.

This whole short is a secret side quest cutscene it is so authentic! Something about the line style makes them feel papery. The small cuts in them perhaps. I wish to make bug fables stuff but patience and practice I suppose.

This is so nice! I’m an animator myself and can see how much effort went in here. I saw that accursed “Fug Bables ” video and this was lovely to reset my head with. I especially love the house design; it makes it look like Team Snakemouth really lives there! In the game it’s just beds and a couple shelves… Why do my favourite games, TOTK and Bug fables, have extremely mid houses, while games I consider mid, BOTW and Mario Odyssey, have really nice houses?
