My wife has really turned into a great hunting companion who is starting to notice things. She’s also really good with the camera, and a lot better looking than my other hunting partners.

Yes it is but I don’t enjoy it…not one bit. I’m 99% sure I chased him around for a lot of September. He and the 6 point hung together for a while until finally splitting up. It was weird hunting 2 bulls almost daily in the same spots. They finally split up September 18th or so.

Good video. Really enjoy archery elk videos, and you footage is very good. Shows the reality of archery elk hunting IMO. And it isn't easy. Understand your frustration with a poor shot but don't beat yourselfup over it, things don't always go as planned. Good luck this Sept.

Good video Trent. As much as we all hate the outcome, it is the reality of bowhunting sometimes. Too many people are out here portraying their hunts as perfect all the time. I know it takes some guts to put a video like this out as I’m sure you will get some hate but being real is much more important. Kudos and good luck this year!

Lesson learned… use a 650gr+ arrow with a single bevel broadhead for elk…

Just like the native americans did.. bowhunting is shot placement.. you can shoot em with a field point and give em an hour and if youve learned to track youll have a dead elk.

Not enjoying the outcome means just as much, it means that you respect the animal amd are a true hunter and conservationist. After so long you did the only thing you could which is start hunting elk again in hopes of finding him alive with other elk, or by way of scavenger birds or coyotes yippin about it and investigate.............I would have done no different as I like you live on elk meat when I can and my family is dependant upon it so the hunt goes on until faced with having found the critter expired, then you make your next decision whatever why feel it best to go.
