I was just waiting for this 'honest' review based on long term usage of Android 11 stable version update on OnePlus 8 pro that has recently rolled out. I am always tempted to do this update as I keep getting notifications whenever I am connected to WiFi. However, based on your previous video as you had replied back to my comment, I am stepping back from the update and waiting for bug fixes. I believe that it is so early to expect app developers to scale up their apps hosted in Play Store to support Android 11. TechDroider and other KZbin channels do over exaggerate this update claiming their gaming and usage have got even better after the update. LOL. Thanks a lot Varun! I use a lot of finance and utility apps for my work and so I'm definitely going to wait for bug fixes. Subscribed to your channel 🤩

The top left side of the display becomes black while unlocking the phone. And also the white circle in the front camera is also displayed in the image,I noticed that while taking selfie in the dark area

For me 1. The notifications are so buggy. I am unable to expand the notifications in the lockscreen. Also the chat bubbles are so finicky. 2. The Scout feature in OnePlus launcher is not there - have installed the app from apkmirror after updating it from play store. 3. The galary app constantly asks me to download some pack and as soon as i hit enter to download that it disappears and asks again the same thing after relaunching the galary app. 3. The processing of photos after taking them has also slowed down. You click a photo and click quickly on the photo to see it and it takes time to load the pic completely. 4. Battery backup has gone tremendously down - to get the most out of it have shifted my display resolution from QHD+ to FHD+. 5. And i do agree with the points you raised here regarding inconsistencies in dark mode and the UI. Honestly i do not hate the new OneUI'sh look but it is not consistent.

I rolled back to Android 10 after just 1 day on Android 11 as the battery drain was horrible, 5G option disappeared in the Network settings. It felt that I was using my old S9+ with the new user interface and this is even worse than the battery drain which is bearable!

Thanks for this video bro , I faced the following issues: (1) had this exclamation mark next to the wifi symbol & it said no internet but there was full network and I could browse sites without issues. WEIRD! I did a factory reset after trying everything else and this was resolved but that's the third reset i'm doing (2) Overheating at random (not just while charging) and battery drain. Pretty damn frustrating for a 60k device. I was a fan of OP but this is not good at all

Hey there, a real quick question to you, did you reset your device after updating it to OS 11 ?. Well in my case, I'm noticing a total slowdown in whole UI and performance and significantly battery consumption has taken a hard hit on this one.

I did factory reset my OP 8 Pro because of the lag and error after updated but it didn't help. It's still lag so much especially on heavy tasks. Mine is IN2020 model, the UI System always shows not working. I'm so full of this sh*t. Anyone can help?

I'm also have the same issue with wi-fi scanning. Also when I move around the house it does not automatically connect to the strongest signal, but needs to be manually connected to the repeater and again when connecting back to the main router.

Pls Test and reply if you're also have same issue. 1. Play games like subway surfers or temple run, I think your right thumb command is not working most of time. 2. Or play video in MX player or VLC and try to forward your video using your right thumb most of time video will not forwarding and if you put your thumb on screen more than 1-2 second than swipe forward it will work. Try and reply.

I have a note 20 and experienced bugs with KZbin when I upgraded to one ui 3.0. So I did the unthinkable and downgraded back to Android one ui 2.5 through Odin. In the end it was worth it. I'm glad I saved my back up firmware files. I flashed carrier firmware to stock firmware. Haven't had no problems at all today.

I'm facing super lag issues! I'm a very heavy user for business purposes, now multi-tasking is not as smooth as before, oftenly freeze on every apps even while typing except for game. UI oftenly pop up and says "System UI has stop working". My OP 6 still perform better than my OP 8Pro, very disappointing. I need my money back!!!

For me When my bluetooth earbuds ( soundcore liberty air 2) are connected to OP 8t, the mic for calling is not supporting ( not able to hear other person voice as well the other could not hear my voice as well) 2. The front camera quality is pathetic I would say as compared to OP 7 ( my previous smartphone) I would like to get them fixed with the OT update ASAP

I know all units have the hole punch banding but only when reproduced.... My concern is that as it is an oled display will the pixels in the band get dead after some months or so? It's not visible now as OnePlus forced the brightness limit but what about long term usage like 2+ years

The display will have all the limitations of an OLED but you should not worry as the panels are made by Samsung only so they are best in class

They removed the OnePlus Shelf from right swipe😭. Some apps are not compatible. Gaming Controllers are not working with Android 11. 11 is full of bugs. I'm not able to downgrade OS though.

Wifi scanning is slow even on my device earlier it used to connect blazing fast with saved connection. Yes Grey doesn't look look. It's Amolet screen black would have been better. Power button earlier menu was rechable right at the power button itself. Not it's ruined. It seems we can add smart devices in power button menu that's why that big empty space. But they could have kept main restart off options near to button when clicked
