This film had a HUGE impact on me as a kid in the 70's, I can still sing along to the whole thing lol there really hasn't been anything like it since. Thanks for commenting Ukeleleman, it's a treat to see thoughts from someone actually involved in it :)

Fabulous choreography by Gillian Gregory. The girls form a line, a circle, go sideways, through each other... all while tapping with fancy footwork. Excellent. And their outfits are cute too.

We have to do a dance to this for our dancing presentation. I actually think I'll enjoy this one because so many people in our dancing group actually love this song, it gets us right down when someone hates the song we're performing... But I don't think you can actually hate this song!

Damn, I did this play in Primary about 6-7 years ago, the last year before Secondary School. I remember being a "down and out" dancer and a boxer. This is nostalgia at its best ;D

This time last year, to the exact day (27th) I was about to perform for the first time ever onstage as Tallulah in a local play, Today, not only am I performing in my 4th show with my theatre company but am training in the west end . This was my audition song for bugsy and this is the song that started it all. Bugsy rules!

I was 11 years old when this Bugsy Malone film first came out in 1976, it was a great film then and it is still a great film now. I don't what it has to do with Michael Jackson. I couldn't care less about Jackson anyway, Elvis is king and always will be. I'm 43 and an Elvis fan since i was 6.

Anything with my all time hero, Jimmy Cagney. 'Angels With Dirty Faces', always blub like a baby when he 'turns yella'. The film is just an absolutely brilliant pastiche of Bogart, Cagney etc gangster films. I just can't understand people who now make comments of it making them uneasy, it's disgusting, perverted etc. IT'S A BIT OF FUN, something that is disappearing fast in this world. I'm in my late 60s & glad I won't be around much longer. Vast amounts of young ones have totally lost, or are rapidly losing, a sense of humour. It is becoming a very, very sad world. "Made it ma, top of the world'.

It is called Fat Sam's Grand Slam, A speakeasy was a secret pub in the 1920's, At this time alcohol was made illegal in the states so speak easies were made, all over America where people could basically go to drink, socialise and enjoy entertainment. I think the joke in this is obviously that they're kids, so drinking alcohol on the sly would be great fun for them.
