Do you still need a destoner when you have this separator/classifier?

Yes, because the separator separates the grain by sorting out coarse material from fine particles. Sand and seeds are intensively removed in the coarse sand sieving area while the destoner ensures maximum removal of impurities with a higher specific weight such as stones and glass. It also classifies the grain into high-density and heavy fractions. Please let us know if we can further assist you.

Separator separates material by using perforated sheets and gravity. Every level has own its sheet with different holes' size. Than lower level, than smaller the holes. So there is only separating by size. Destoner use additionly fan on its top, that air flow can go through perforated sheets and lift ligther particles above heavier. And havier particles go backward to the top of perforated sheet, where they quit as waste. Also the lighthest particles fly away in fan on top, so you should install filter or air-recirculating system to prevent air pollution in work area (or just put vent tube outside of factory if local laws permit this behavior). There is separating not only by size, but by weight too. Separating end product by weight and size in different containers will increase price of machine. And a distoner are little more expensive, than just a separator.

Dear Diego We just spoke to the technical responsible of our MTRC separators and he provided the following information about the different MTRC models and motors: MTRC-100/100 & MTRC-100/200 have got each two 0.3kW vibromotors at 50 Hz as well as 2x 0.35kW at 60Hz. MTRC-150/200 has got two 0.65kW motors at 50 Hz as well as 0.65 kW at 60 Hz. We hope we could answer your question. Best regards, Bühler Social Media Team
