Thanks Michael! Those weren’t quite done… tubing connects them so I can run cold water through them to keep the molds around room temp. I found them on a bait making/mold related Facebook group. The blanks, surprisingly, you can find either by going to metal providers online or… I was surprised to see how many plates were available on Amazon! Lots of different sizes, go figure!

@SDGCustomLurecraftКүн бұрын
@@ChrisWaldon-qm4mz thanks man! Regarding the triple, it really depends on the bait (body shape, etc). That said, I’ve successfully tripled a 7.5 Swimbait and even 7.6 Whip Wad.
@jordanrock5657Күн бұрын
That is awesome. It looks like you could remove the inlet tube fitting on the switch to just a 1/4npt air fitting. Air fitting to make thread. Assuming it’s 1/4 inch.
@jordanrock5657Күн бұрын
Air fitting to male thread
@SDGCustomLurecraftКүн бұрын
Thanks man! That may be possible, yeah. Not sure if its 1/4" (certainly is for the tubing), but a definite possibility (also assuming there's room between the two "outlets" on either side.

Thanks for the video, as always a big help. One question, what hp and flow is the air compressor did you hook to the air vise? Keep up the great videos.
@SDGCustomLurecraftКүн бұрын
Thanks Ted! In the video the tank pressure was a bit over 100 and the regulated/line pressure was 50. I’ve heard from more experienced vide users that may not be sufficient when clamping a lot of molds for a big run… they suggested a regulated pressure of 100 as well. I plan to experiment a bit as I don’t want to risk pinching any super low tolerance vents.

I am 66 years old and i want to make crappie baits. What size dual injectors would you suggest from your website?
@SDGCustomLurecraftКүн бұрын
Crappie baits only, you can get away with a 4oz dual. That said… if you have multiple molds that you’d like to shoot at the same time or you think you’ll ever get into bigger baits, a 6oz would be better and isn’t that much more expensive. I ran a 6oz dual for a LONG time, it was great (have dual 8’s now). Highly suggest N2 Manufacturing as they make top quality stuff! You can find them at the N2 website or at Barlows: barlowstackle.com/n2-dual-injector-kits/?afmc=et

Don’t ever sell yourself short brother !! …coming from a seasoned fabricator / maintenance tech of 30 yrs who’s made his own tools out in the field ,, adapted parts from scraped equipment, hooked together 4 different sized fittings to make something work … cross threaded a metric bolt into an sae nut because you had to make something work in a emergency(because Home Depot and Amazon don’t deliver in the field ) I say YER AH PRETTY HANDY DUDE !! That’s a Super Sweet Set Up Mr Sir ❤ 👊🤙🏆. ( only thing I’d add ) at the back is a thin piece of teflon between rails and the clamp that slides … drill a hole in it run the bolt back thru .. the teflon shim will help it slide up an back better than the metal on metal… ( just a thought )👊
