Find when joining old to new like that, use a complete different colour brick (say black), this way it breaks up the area into a picnic area and walk way, thanks for sharing this is how we build knowledge and gain ideas.

Turned out really well, I like that you used clay brick pavers these will retain there colour unlike concrete block paving also the brick edge looks great a lot better then the steal I think 👌 greetings from 🇮🇪

Looks really good. Do you use anything on top of the bricks for sealing, or to fill any spaces between bricks? Thanks
@laurabarber6697 Жыл бұрын
That's what I'm looking for. I'm tired of pulling weeds from between the pavers and don't want to use weedkiller because of my dogs.
@IndepenisDay Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, use a water based paving sealant

So I’m not going to be able to make this patio for 22 years? And I have to marry a lady? That’s like a $1,000,000 patio not even including the breakfast cereal they’ll eat. (Looks good and thanks for sharing your errors as always. Did the boys give you shit for not doing the edge right the first time? Did they suggest a soldier course?)

This is the 3rd DIY brick patio vid I've watched and it's crazy how nonchalantly everyone is like "oh all these roots were in the way" with absolute no concern for the health of the tree. Dunno, I don't think a patio is worth it if you're going to potentially harm a tree given all trees provide in terms of oxygen, shade, habitat, and beauty.

🤦♂️ the tree is doi fine

Bruh the tree is fine

No one is concerned because, unless it’s a particularly central root (which shouldn’t be that close to the surface), most trees can handle that kind of pruning.
@tristynleetl9 ай бұрын
Roots of the tree go waaaaaay down. Root pruning just stimulates growth of new roots. Not an issue unless you’re going multiple feet down
@jamesa39678 ай бұрын
Mate trees are pretty resilient. Plus they have more than one root
