After reading the title and description first, I thought "how on earth can you power a 70W LED via laptop grade 18650s, as that works out to be 6A per cell?". After seeing the construction of the battery pack, I was impressed. Using 6 cells in parallel limits the current to about 1A per cell, which is fine for standard 18650 cells. That looks to be a really effective flashlight, which would equal most car headlights (most car headlights are about 60W). The only thing I would add is some kind of fuse/additional protection, as well as use a different charger: a 12.6V 2A charger will take forever to charge that pack as it is only designed for 1P or 2P battery packs, not 6P. I recommend 12.6V 6A charger for the best charging time.

I have done the similar project which was 10W COB LED with 12V battery supply. After 10min-lighting, the heat generated by LED destroyed the LED and the temperature reached above 100oC. I suggest to install extra-heat-sink & fans to cooling the lamp. I think after 10-min-usage, the hand bar is so hot that it's a safety issue.

1:50 Just to let you know, those cells that were below 3V can still be used, they just need to be charged up. Of course you should always check internal resistance of the cells and do a full charge/discharge cycle. Cell voltage is not always the main factor to consider; I have had plenty of cells that are under 3V turn out to hold a good amount of charge.

Hello M.Waqas Siddiue, how this charger will take 100 hours ? If you check closely you will see that it's output is 12.6 V ,2000 ma (2 Amp). I have built the same battery packs and I am using the same AC/DC adapter whose output is 12V and 1500 ma (1.5 Amps) and it took 4-6 hours to charge the cells.

Yes, of course, a camping lamp without water protection - open on all sides. It would last three days here where I live, in the mountains. :) Morning fog and dew would destroy it, not to mention the rain.
