This is the best tutorial on Building a PC i have ever seen literally. I always wanted that someone should show a camera inside the cabinet while placing the motherboard. Just Wow 👍👌👏

great we skipped building a computer because of covid, this video helped, especially with the cam inside the chassis and the continuity ! Not being stuffy yet still streamlined and informative helps, too. side note i think 1 or 2 of the 'as discussed before' havent been discussed (this is the 2nd video), and the next one isn't OS w/Cindy-- it's Kevin about mobile. still-- good stuff!

I have a question, when installing the ram sticks why does it matter that he's sticking to only using the white dimm slots?
@JJFlores1979 ай бұрын
Yeah I don't know why they didn't go over it. Modern computers use something called dual channel memory (or quad channel in very high end systems and servers). In short, memory channels are lanes that connect the memory to the CPU. The more lanes you have, the more data you can move and faster than if you had just 1 lane. The way systems are engineered means that the channels are separated, usually by the memory slot color or a numbering on top of the slot. You always want to consult the PC/motherboard manual for specific instructions. Some boards can be very picky and will refuse to boot if the memory is not installed correctly. Other boards may not care and boot up just fine.

What are you wearing while building PC?

Its an anti-static wrist strap. Its to prevent excess static electricity you may have on your body from damaging the components. With the strap, if you have static electricity built up on you, it gets sent to ground as long as the strap is connected to a ground. Its not mandatory to use it, but it can help prevent ESD damage if you live in an area with a lot of static electricity build up.
