Hope you enjoy everyone! As we set off on a new tutorial series here just wanted to draw your attention to the fact we're on a completely new setup as you may have realised. Got the new home studio office much more ready for recording. Have a new laptop, we're finally off windows rocking Mac OS again for our videos. Also we're using a Cannon M50 for our video's which means we can now do our video's in 4k. We also have a brand spanking new intro and outro which I think is pretty fun, they're also 4k. Let me know your thoughts on the new series, the new video style either in the comments below our in our very own DISCORD SERVER! Join our growing community on our new discord server here, all are welcome! 😄 📢 discord.gg/wqZrVkeMzX Comment down below if you're enjoying the series or have a question of any kind! 🗨

Also just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone in our little but growing community. We just got monetised the other day and I absolutley couldn't have done without all the hundreds of people who subscribe and regularly watch all these videos. Thank you so much here, let's see where this journey takes us 🙏😄

I'm interested to do that. Where did you finally host the project? Is that fully explained?

Thanks for the course bro, Can you now create a production ready multi-vendor ecommerce platform using Next Tailwind MongoDB, you’ll be the first to offer that on youtube

Hey bud, do you know what would be a really good series idea. I noticed there's not really many real-world full stack project tutorial series out there for project's YOU WOULD ACTUALLY NEED. Thanks for the recommendation my guy, much love.

@@LearnFrontendNow thanks, it’ll be much appreciated, integrating payment systems like credit card and cash on delivery, dashboard, profile, reviews and ratings, something that’ll will be as close to real world apps as possible

Hi. Where will we be deploying Strapi to production?
@LearnFrontendNow Жыл бұрын
Hi Michael at the moment it's likely we're doing Strapi on Heroku and NextJS/FE on Vercel with images/videos on Cloudinary. Obviously when we get closer to that point we'll revisit viability but that's currently the plan :)
@michaeldavies9998 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the quick reply. Does Heroku have a free tier. I think they have removed it?
@LearnFrontendNow Жыл бұрын
@@michaeldavies9998 That is true it does look likely it might be Railway.app where we host it as they have a free tier for testing without a time limit which is perfect.

you end up with a strapi full project with his own package lock , node modules and all nested into your nextjs project, is that normal ? that doesn't sound very good
@LearnFrontendNow Жыл бұрын
Yes it shouldn't matter where you put it. You can put it within your NextJS folder if you wish or put it in it's own stand alone folder. Some of the deployment options (Vercel, Railway etc) are smart enough to know that we have both in this project. If you don't want it in the same place as your frontend create a separate folder. It should all work the same as the localhost address will be the same :)

was this project deployed on a live server?
@LearnFrontendNow Жыл бұрын
Hey Griffin, When recording these video's they were ran locally. They will however be deployed to a live server at the end of the tutorial series 😄

Side note, pretty annoying, you don't get HD until the 4k render is almost done 😥
@CoIdestMoments Жыл бұрын
would be way better to deploy everything in one youtube video because i think most people want to do it by coding along in one day tbh
@LearnFrontendNow Жыл бұрын
Totally agreed bud, unfortunately for me as I've got a family (wife, kids etc) it's quite difficult to find that time to sit down and bang out several episodes at once. However in the future could batch record in advance so we don't have this delay other than the time it takes to edit them. Certainly will re-evaluate the release approach for it in the future. Appreciate you checking out the video though ❤
