My dad bought a ready-made ham shack for me when I was 16 (way back in 1966). And then we got and installed a 50-foot tower 3 beam antenna. I loved that shack and back in the good old days before internet, I CW'd and got a QSL card from the then Belgium Congo from right here in Dallas. Can you imagine what that was like for a teenage boy in 1966? Today, I could care less for a ham shack. Heck what is the point with internet and cell phone service all over the world. But just in case, I keep my call sign current!

Between a linear power supply and switching power supply, which one puts out less RF interference/noise?

Watched several "how to shack" vidoes this week. Not one mentioned ergonomics. Is the monitor at eye level?. Is the radio easy to reach or is it PC controlled? Some kinda touch on cable management or ease of access to the back if mounted. Is the shack gun easy to get to just incase? Does the equipment produce enough heat to keep you warm in the winter or do you need new AC system components to keep up with the Easy Bake ham shack? :) Good video. Hits most of the missed topics.

They have a bad reputation of being run by ' the wannabe Kings of the Block ' and/or ' Queens of the Neighborhood ' whom exist and enjoy to express thier overbearing authority upon anyone or anything that fails ( even if by an inch ) to be what they determine you/it should be .
