Build a Jig Rack for Baking Powder Paint.

Build 3 racks for holding jigs upright while baking in an oven (instead of hanging upside down). Marc shows you how to assemble your own racks so that powder-coated jigs and weights can be baked to harden without getting ugly drips of paint on the head of your jig or weight. This an easy project and very inexpensive, while providing fantastic results.

1 each 6-foot piece of Aluminum Angle, 1/16” X ¾” (www.lowes.com/...)
1-each Silicone Oven Baking Mat (www.amazon.com...)
9 bolts and nuts of your choice (aluminum or stainless steel)
Other tools: drill, drill bit sized for bolts, razor knife, measuring tape, 2 or more spring clamps, flat file for metal, gloves, eye protection.

Or be a cheap putz like myself. Goodwill, St. Vinnie's or a rummage sale are all more value oriented sources for a toaster oven. Might not be able to get Marc's exact model but most of 'em will do a fine job. I got mine for $5 and it works just fine.

How does the silicon mat stick to the aluminum?

It doesn't stick in my setup, but is held in place by the screws that go through both sides of the aluminum angle and the silicone mats. You can stick them if you wish with High Temp RTV silicone sealant but I didn't bother since it wasn't necessary.

@@marcmarcantonio Thanks for the reply. Looks like once the screws/nuts are in place, just a half- or 3/4-turn of the screw would be enough to insert the hook, and the screws would hold the silicon strips in place.
