@Einzeilhandery
@Einzeilhandery 2 жыл бұрын
@@FF-ly4im theres a reason why an ant can fall from a 14th floor building wouldnt die but a human would from a 4th floor. Even when this is mini build would require mainterance, which doesnt translate well in real scale project, you cant mass these since it wouldnt be much effective compare to better tech we have like nuclear and stuffs. The money to build them are already a headache, and havent even mention the authority to propose the idea in the first place. This is the same problem for solar, wind energies, it only work on specific situation and cant be mass. You would have to take the geography, the cost, men power to maintain the prpject even function, and when doing math the results is just not effective at all. Even if you cut the building resources and the cost away, you would still left with elevation problem, polution and climate change problems, also toxic waste would be an ass to treat at the bottom part
@Einzeilhandery
@Einzeilhandery 2 жыл бұрын
@@FF-ly4im now i get that you meant well and want to improve tech like these, but they just dont work in scales, sure maybe put them at the perfect place like a huge cannal or a damp would be great, but thats all there is to it, unless people plan to terraform the whole earth, this tech will simply not "any" effective except look cool

@@DJ-uk5mm the two of them are at birstwithe hall nr harrogate one continually works then is changed over to the second ram by switching valve to second drive pipe from river the other is then serviced and on standby it uses a head of water through a six inch drive pipe to lift water from spring through a 3 inch pipe to a reservoir on hill on entry to village it continually pumps, the force of the water hammer is so strong you can feel it vibrating through the soil of the underground ram house amazing things they can pump water uphill for miles, we are idiots these days compared to our ancestors brilliant civil enginearing

Yes amazing. But not possible, as far as I know. It goes against the law of physics. The pressure created by the dam cannot allow water to rise above the dam without more energy. But it Intrigues me still: if I am wrong, I would like to understand where.
@matanadragonlin
@matanadragonlin 2 жыл бұрын
@@MabsDues This is science. Purely physics. And yes a bit unbelieveable. Water rise above! 😲 But it does. 😁 Remember sucking liquid with a tube. It already flows a bit above (eg from your car gas tank into a gas can). Ram pump got more pressure. I'm looking for a link, but a short explaination here: The magic is pressure. Water flows a bit down in the begining before reaching the ram. Water flow meets the first valve in the tube. After enough water the valve closes. The only way for the water now is above into the tube with the decompression tank. This valve is still open. After enough water/ pressure this valve closes. Meanwhile the lower valve (less pressure now) opens again. But shortly will close again after enough water from the feeder pipe. Thev above valve is already open again (after pressure relief from the water flowing through the lower valve). This makes the clack clack sound. You can here this sound, too in your washing mashine, if water pressure comes too quick. Big hydro power plants fear this setback and are busy to avoid it. There is a castle in Germany which pumps water up the hill since ages. Ram technology was famous until the1950ties. Yes, until we think pumps running by fuel/ power are more efficient. Yes, they are. A Ram pump can only pump 20% of the water it was supplied with. A lot of water runs down at the so called waste line. And therefore it needs time. eg 24h to fill a big water tank. And it doesnt like winter (ice, frozing water). You have to tinker some until it works by its own. It doesnt like material from the creek (sand, silt, leaves) and has to run air free. But there are engineers around the world who tinker about all these advantages. Russian and German (Swiss too) engineers are reinventing and improving it now. Some got brilliant ideas to use the power behind. They put a generator or turbine to produce electricity on to it. Brilliant in my eyes. Because "free energy" made by nature is needed in future. It sounds magic, but it is pure science 😁
