This is a planter box diy. I built this in the shape of hexagon. I plan on using this planter box for flowers.
I used five 2x6 and three 1x6 deck boards and one box of Kreg screws. Really not to complicated for planter box at all. Thanks for watching!

Staining one side in my opinion is ok since the wood can dry on the sides not covered so great job

Very, very nicely done, should last for years and look good as well. I need to build something like this to put some good size cactus in. I may drill a few hole in the bottom to allow water to drain and then for good measure put three casters on the bottom so I can move it around the patio as needed. Great job!

Hi Mitch Love this fun video and planter looks excellent. I've made a bigger version of the square planter you done and it came out really well. Thanks for that 👍. I fancy having a go at doing a couple of these hexagonal ones now🤞. One small thing can you say the lengths of the stock as well as the widths and heights. Cheers 😎

I am a first timer wood worker. Just invested in large sum of money in tools. For my first project, I want to build a planter box like the one who did in this video, but I need to learn the tools and the router bits. It would help also if the video was not speeded up for newbies like myself. Be that as it may, a very good video and planter box

Mitch Deitrich always bro India takes about an hour set to make luckily I don't have to paint them yet some custom vinyl graphics being put on there that's a big Time Saver but he does when all the edges rounded over and Edge banded so that sucks LOL it's going to pay a few off a few bills so I can't turn it down..lol

Fantastic, Mitch! Looks really nice! I saw some pro tell in a video that screwing into the middle of the board is bad news in the long run. When the wood moves, it will eventually split there. Let me know at the end of the year if any have done that. :)

How do i figure the lenths of the boards between the legs for a certain size I'm trying to get?
@MitchellDeitrich
@MitchellDeitrich 6 жыл бұрын
I would wait till you get to that part before cutting them. Then you can just measure and find out. I hope that helps. If you mean board width, just divide total width between legs by the number of boards you want to use.
