Thank you for this, my wife has asked me to maker her a rocking chair after I built our decking. I have no training at all in carpentry so KZbin videos like yours are a god send!

Well Mee Maw, all you need is a hand knit shawl around your shoulders & a cat on your lap. Great design & product - as usual. I bought a pair of wired ISO Tunes a couple of years ago when I saw them on your channel and convinced my contractor nephew to buy a pair & he loves them. Probably time for me to upgrade to the wireless - just because I like new things.

What a great project! I've built a few rocking chairs in the past, and they do present their own set of challenges. Great job. Great design. Your shop is amazing, and I loved seeing that you have that SawStop table saw for safety. Hope you NEVER need to change out that brake mechanism. Again, I sure love this project.

I make my first 4 seat slats 1 inch wide and space rhem 1/4 apart. This gives the nose of the seat a more curved perfect look. The remaining slats are 1 1/2 wide and spaced half to 3/4 apart. Your chair looks great by the way.

That looks Great. I recently was out with the neighbors. They had a painter, painting the front porch. And I was saying I paint and I'm a wood worker. So the sister said how about making me a set of rocking chairs. I sold all my tools last year. Didnt have the room for them and still don't. But I was like sure I can make them for you. Been looking at places like pinterest and KZbin. I settled on these. I'm going to ask if these would be something she would like than buy the plans. Get me good with the neighbors is a good game plan. They know everyone haha
