2 galvanized steel fence posts. 2” diameter by 8’ long. A-frame that won’t fall sideways Don’t even have to bolt together at the top. Notch the top of both to fit the chain links precisely. Anti sink feet and a piece of rope at bottom to prevent splaying.

Thanks for the video. You put a bolt through the oak just below the notch. What is the purpose of this bolt?

This bolt is to prevent the oak from splitting down the grain.

Give me a pick axe and I would have finished before he was done notching the super sturdy oak piece. I know: where's the fun in that? Then again this guy might have hit himself in the foot, that would hurt a lot more than falling on a pile of rocks.
