We hope you enjoy this video we had fun doing it. After watching would you build something like this or just buy it? Leave a response in the comments!

I don't have any woodworking tools. It would probably be cheaper to buy one already built instead of buying all the tools to build it yourself.

Thanks! I really appreciate the comment. One of my goals is to show how to build fun projects with the minimal tools you may have. My first project I had to borrow my roommates jigsaw and I'm slowly acquiring the basic tools as I go. It's frustrating watching a how-to video and not have any of the equipment they use. I'm going to keep trying to use the basics, it's so hard when you get new power tool toys. :-)

Thanks! My channel is kind of a response to how-to videos that basically show you things in real-time and I don't have time for that! lol. I have plenty of projects planned, you can see in the discussion area of the channel the list. kzbin.infodiscussion The next game is cornhole/bags boards that are foldable for storage and transportation. I put out a video once a month. Thanks again!

Beautiful job! We would build one. In fact we plan to make them for our adult sons for Christmas this year. Thanks so much for such a great video. If it’s not asking too much can you tell me what the dimensions of your wood pieces. We probably won’t put the score rod on so just the wood🙏🏼😊

The sizes are in the video but here you go, the bottom is square I cut the length same as the width I think I used a 10" wide board. The center pole is about 12 inches and the top bar was just shy of double the bottom width at 19 inches. Hope that helps!

It really depends, smaller makes the game harder. I just used the middle-size ones. They are called cup hooks. These are like the ones I used: www.lowes.com/pd/Hillman-Steel-Cup-Hook-8-Pack/1000037635

About an 1 to 1.5 inches from the bottom base. My build in the video is 1 inch. The higher you put the ring the harder it is to hook it. Hope that helps!

@DIYXplorer
@DIYXplorer Жыл бұрын
Hi! It really depends on how hard or easy you want to make it. I found between 1-2 inch rings work fine. I bought mine at one of the local big box home supply stores. Like Lowes, Home Depot or Menards. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

Help!!!! I just made this amazing game, but I have a problem!!!! When I assembled it every time I toss the ring it hits the bottom of the base and so therefore does not ever let it ctch the ring. I tried adjusting the string but if I adjust so that it doesn't hit the base then it cannot reach the hook. Please help as I am trying to give this as a gift to my son-in-law. Thank you in advance!!!!!!
@DIYXplorer
@DIYXplorer 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment sorry for the delay I was filming my next video over the weekend! Make sure your center pole is at least 12.5 inches tall and top bar is 18 inches long. If your top bar is tool long your string will hit the bottom. Before you disassemble try moving o-ring on the top bar where you attach the string in towards the center pole. Then adjust the string length. If that works then you just have to shorten your top bar. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching and that's so cool you made it as a gift!

You could also try to put a bevel cut on the end of the base where it hits with your miter saw.

Not trying to hate. But up and down is PLUMB not Level. Plus if you need a drill press rig to drill a straight hole through a ¾in or 1½ you may need more practice. Other then your overkill, Nice job.
@DIYXplorer
@DIYXplorer 3 жыл бұрын
You are right! I grew up in a carpenter family I remember my father using the term plumb. I will make sure I am correct going forward. I ended up being a computer guy and just getting into building things so a bit of a newb but part of this channel is learning as I go. And I do need more practice drilling through straight holes! The drill rig was a fun tool that I plan on using for future projects and it was much less of an investment than a full drill press. Thanks for the corrections, I never take it as hate. And thanks again for watching!

FFS just get on with the build; we can work out what we need as the build progresses. First five minutes of absolute garbage. For those interested in building this game just skip to the 12 minuite mark and you will realise what and how to make it. Not rocket science.
