Distribution deals are not it they giving with no advance or budget and even charging artist 300-$3000 to sign so what would you do with if you can’t even speak to someone in industry because their info can’t be found cuz ppl sell their contact information

What he's not telling you about getting a distribution deal, or a P&D, is...distributors don't give these deals to anybody. You have to have a buzz, a big following and have an online presence and the means to advertise and promote your song.

honestly owning masters is a new concept and we all know new strategies need to be revised. example snoop and plenty others have successful careers without owning the masters to the hits !

They've had successful careers, but had to still pay back per contractual stipulations (360 deal for short). In essence, Snoop and others would've been actually richer than they are (who no owns their masters) now. Snoop Dogg owning his masters after the Death Row acquisition; I feel he lost out on money he could've been making for himself on "Doggystyle," years back, etc.

not gonna lie, ive been on this plan since the beginning of my career but the hardest part is to supercede "clout" and this superlative based industry that covets resources and assets. finding concrete distributors without a manager or agent voucher is damn near impossible. not completely but youll end up pitching for years and if your life is chaotic during that process, you can end up losing everything in your personal with nothing left but the work you put in. thats where i am rn. potential multimillion dollar IP and structure yet little to no network value to industry representation just for recipients to even humble themselves enough to even indulge a "cold call" pitch.
