This is top content, if I may move a constructive critic is a shame that the jump landing wasn’t refined at the end: that’s a massive problem for other tutorials, they all mess up the jump landing animation. Have a look around and let me know. Either than that, really good tutorial!

This was great thanks - It all worked first time! But is it possible to delay the character moving up into the air? I've a crouch in my jump animation, and I had to trim this start out otherwise the character does the crouch animation in the air and not on the ground. I search for a solution online - but there doesn't seem to be any straight forward fix for just delaying the movement upwards.

Because I tried to add the animations into the original ThirdPerson of ue5 because I need first to export my character from cc4 and not from mixamo!!! But when I come to this 8:45 the animations that I chose is not available in the right corner "asset browser"

What you probably need to do is yes use mixamo external character ---> import the mixamo character T-pose, then import its animations (without skin), then retarget from mixamo char to your cc4 char. I have a video on that for you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpPQfHmmhNd0erc

I really liked this video. To the point and a great getting started video. I am curious though; what would be the best way to slow down and get a smoother transition between animations? For instance when he goes from idle, walk, run and jump to have the animations blend between the actions better than snapping from one to the other?
@3dJC2 жыл бұрын
That's a great question! When I watch demos of people playing these amazing worlds, I'm also sucked out of it by the jerky binary nature of character movements. I'm not sure if that's an easy thing to add, but I'll poke around to see if anyone has any cool tricks for doing it.

@@3dJC Thanks JC! I noticed on another character (Yin from the Paragon pack) that there's a "landing" animation. So it looks like they appended that to the end of the jump.
