Really excited to get my pair, but on that note if the magnet holdstere bolts come preinstalled then how will you know which side to install them on? :P

@@quiettoni913 We're still working out the bugs with our process, but if we preinstall them, we will either have the option in the listing itself or we will email you before installing them.

question... Is there any practical reason NOT to just use the powertool battery packs I have all over my garage to run stock nerf blasters? I have 4v, 12v and 18-20v lithium tool batteries and chargers. There are snap in adapters for the batteries can easily be attached to most blasters. I'm not looking for full rebuild mod performance, just an easier battery solution. Most are running stock on like 9v roughly right? so using 12v (10.8v) drill batteries might perform a little better but i doubt will damage anything.
@quiettoni9132 жыл бұрын
@@squirts1In a word, output. Lipo batteries are used because they combine high ampage output and small size. Hitting a powertool 18650 cell repeatedly with stall current demands can be a good recipe for a battery fire. If you dont disassemble the powertool pack then the overdraw protection will probably kick in.
@squirts12 жыл бұрын
@@quiettoni913 right, because drills, saws, and impacts don't pull high current? Also, As I said, I'm talking about stock motors. It sounds a little like you are just parroting what you've heard around the hobby without actually understanding the full context.

When I assembled my luchadora the issue I had was that I pushed the flywheels on too far. When I finished assembly I found a shim that was provided with the kit. I don't recall seeing that in the build video. I was able to pry the flywheels but be warned they do not move easily! All in all it is a nice kit with a fantastic feel in the hand. Keep up the good work out of darts!

We didn't have the shim gauge finalized when filming, so we went for the "eyeball it" approach. Glad you're enjoying the blaster!

I have a question. I'm new to the modding side of Nerf. I ordered the Phoenix 2.0. It worked for a week. Now all of the sudden, the pusher doesn't work. At first it'd fire a full magazine, then stop working. Could the pusher motor be dead? Or could there be a short somewhere? How would I go about diagnosing the issue?

If you built it yourself, it might not be a bad idea to open it up and check your soldering connections. I'm kinda garbage at soldering, and its caused me some similar problems in the past

Tutorials are a lot of work and dont get as many views, with that being said Luke is also already super busy constantly so its not likely he'll do random tutorials for older nerf blasters. But if that means we get something else super cool that's fine by me xD

Perry did you film this upside down and horizontal flip the footage? That drill spinning backwards as screws go in was bugging me out
@outofdarts2 жыл бұрын
Nope! I imagine that was just a coincidence with the timing of the drill and shutter speed of the camera.

I suggest you add peg keys during the printing to the kits for easy assembly?
@outofdarts2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean. If you don't already have an M2.5 hex key, we sell a simple one for $0.75, but I'm not sure how that would help during printing.

1 minute in: glittery green? Mermaids tail looks blue to me. Is luke colorblind or is the video color corrected?
@outofdarts2 жыл бұрын
It's more of a teal, which is more green or blue depending on the lighting, the camera sensor, or even the screen you're watching it on. We only do minor corrections to make colors pop and add some contrast into the image.

Why are the screws metric? Standard SAE is easier to hunt down at the local hardware store in the U.S. .... ?
@outofdarts2 жыл бұрын
We provide all the hardware in our kits and metric machine screws so you don't have to source them. Also, we continue to use the same type of screws as many of our previous products so that you can service and repair any of our blasters in the field with only a limited number of tools; it just so happens that those are metric.

Is pom better than abs
@outofdarts Жыл бұрын
It's not necessarily better or worse. POM (AKA acetal or Delrin) does have different properties that make it better in certain applications, but ABS is better in other use cases. So it really depends on what you're making whether one will be better than the other.
