Really nice and hard work! However as I am a builder I am extremely concerned with the floor joists, should have used at minimum 2x10 material, 2x12 would be safer .

Is that tree dead it sure looks like it is if not by putting that spiral staircase all the way up it sure will kill it so you're going to build a huge tree house in a dead tree you know it's going to fall over may not be now it may not be for a few years but by putting that heavy huge tree house up at the top will definitely make it fall faster that's really dangerous putting a treehouse in a dead tree you're going to have to come back eventually and support the tree you were talking about strengthening up the staircase for people in the future to walk on it well I don't know how long you think that tree is going to stay up when it's dead is the barks already peeling off of it and you can see cracks all ready forming don't get me wrong I think you're doing an awesome job but that tree is on its way out I hope the tree does last a long time but what kind of tree is that is that a walnut tree because walnut trees can look like they're dead but they're not well I hope it does last and you're using rotted branches for the railing when you see mushrooms on there it means it's rotting good job awesome build would like to see more tree houses built from you but hopefully in a not so dead tree LOL

A dead tree after 3-5 years may just fall down without warning. If it died 3 yrs. ago, it is now due sooner or later to kiss the ground to finally rot naturally or become lumber.

A tree can survive having a third of its bark stripped off. As long as the screws are stainless steel they won't effect the tree.

I’d love to build a treehouse, but I can’t help but be leery. So much time, effort, and money out into something that’s totally dependent on the tree. What happens when the tree grows bigger, dies, falls, whatever. It just seems so easy for the integrity of the tree house to be threatened by nature. I’d love feedback.

This is a beautiful project. Nice craftsman. To show off the beauty you could sync the txt naration to what is going on at the time. Needs a couple more edits. Leave the costs in a document that someone can download or link it to a website. Either talk with info or play music. Good start.
