Doug, Thanks for making the tutorial video on your technique for cutting your foam fuselage pieces. I purchased the same power supply a couple years ago, based on your recommendation in your LFI-S21 build on RC Groups, and have not been disappointed. It's a great tool to have for cutting foam. Looking forward to your progress on the F-16! Should be another winner. Brad.

You'd get a smoother straighter cut if laid that foam on your table and then pushed it around the form!! Justgo slower or turn the heat up a bit!

Awesome, do you have the templates that you can share?? PDF plans if possible?

Not at this time. When the project is completed and confirmed airworthy I may put together the plans and post them on my RCGroups build thread. It would take a long time to convert or layout my drawings from photoshop for PDF export.

I noticed you are using either really thin cardboard or posterboard for the template. How feasible is it to use Hardboard? It's the same stuff pegboard is made of and is usually about 1/8" thick. I'm just thinking of making more permanent templates, for making multiple planes.

Not going to be feasible at all. With that width once you start lining up one bulkhead on the front side and the other bulkhead on the backside the width of the peg board will alter the guide for cutting. Your cut foam sections will not match up. When you get to bulkheads that have a incremental change in size the thickness of the pegboard interferes. Besides the thin card stock is easier to cut out and with it be thin when you cut the foam section bulkheads that have that incremental change your more likely to have good match up foam sections. I have used my templates multiple times without problems.

Countertop laminate is what you want for long lasting templates.

William Terri it’s called Greengaurd made by Kingspan. Purchased from Lowe’s hardware out here on the East coast of United Stares. I know in different parts of the States they my have a different density board depending on the R value needed to insulate homes for that region.
