Thanks for sharing- there are not many videos out there showing this and I appreciate the time you invested in doing this video. I've actually have just taken my bees and pulled the half moon nock and glued in a .300 i.d aluminum bushing followed by a Ravin 136 replacement nock and they fly great. I get better flight patterns with the 3 inch vanes verses 2 inch, especially with mechanical broadheads

I’m happy to help out. I know how frustrating it can be to spend that kind of money on something and not be able to get information on the nuances from average use. Archery is one of those sports that people love to do their own thing to get the edge. Fun stuff!! Have a good one!

For the best deal on arrows to build yourself is called a dragon claw made by Black Eagle,has their name on it,same specs as their executioner,made for Wyvern creations,they are .001 and 9.0 grains per inch,$64.95 and they are from Lee,NH and you pay no sales tax,when you get the time check out Wyvern creations,they are crossbow only and save yourself some money.Nice videos

After having the fletchings come off several Ravin arrows during hunting, I took a look at the factory Ravin arrows. Apparently, they don't put a dab of glue on the leading edge of the fletching--thus the problem of them being stripped off. So, I put dab on myself--hopefully this will help. I'm not sure I want to pay $200 for a jig, but I guess, in the long run--it would be cheaper than just replacing arrows. We'll see how the preventive measures go. Thanks for the video.
@zumaconcepts12002 жыл бұрын
The dab at the front edge should yield an improvement. I was equally turned off by the price of the jig but it is definitely built well and I didn’t feel like I got ripped off. I’m happy I could help. Have a good one.

Several of my orders for Ravin arrows showed up with the vanes all bent and crippled to Hades. I sent them back, including the new 500 grain Ravin arrows

Really appreciate the detailed video. I recently shot the nock off of one of my ravin arrows and damaged the nock bushing. I asked customer support to ship me a replacement. They sent me field tip inserts instead, so I was looking for a way to replace the nock and bushing myself. Are the inserts and bushings the same for both regular and lighted nocks?
@zumaconcepts12002 жыл бұрын
Yes, they are the same for either nock.

Where's the link for the .300 to .255 nock bushing to fit the ravin nock?Shipping at south shore almost as much as nock bushing.
@zumaconcepts1200 Жыл бұрын
There is a link and a phone number to the place that sells them. Periodically the link gets messed up. I contacted them to confirm and they do still sell the bushings. They instructed me to put their phone number in my description and let my viewers know that you can call and order the bushings over the phone.

What are the R 500 made of. The same Zombieslayers for the other Ravins?
@zumaconcepts12002 жыл бұрын
I haven’t looked into the R500s specifically. But if they don’t sell an arrow specifically for the R500 everything I show in the video will work the same. Let me know if this helps. Have a good one.

So the bolts for the R10 is20" and the others are 21" if im not mistaken. What are you building for? and wha are the links for the nock bushing and brass weights?
@zumaconcepts12002 жыл бұрын
All of the links can be found in the description. I’ve used the 20” I’m not sure what your looking at that is 21”.

What I hate about the ravin arrows is their lighted nocks(can't turn them off very easily) is there any other brand of lighted nock I can use for my ravin arrows?
@jayrich80592 жыл бұрын
Hello, appreciate your video and the step by step process you show, thank you! I’m also in Michigan near Saginaw. Would there be a good way to reach out to you when you have time to talk over the arrow setup, strings, and the bow in general? I have two R20’s I use, wife has a R29, and I bought an R10 for the kids coming up. Thanks

Absolutely, I would be happy to help. Email me at Zuma.info.4u@gmail.com with your phone number and the best time to call. I’ll give you a call and if needed I’ll meet up to help out. I travel up your way a couple days a week.

Ravin arrow has a brass 82gr point insert unless it has lighted nocks then it has an aluminum point insert so both regular and lighted arrows weigh 300 gr without a point

John I have the same scale mine came with a small tray, did yours? I took a small round file and made a notch on each end to lay the arrow down onto. All you have to do then is tare the scale after you put the tray on it then place your arrow on the tray and you have your weight. Standing the shafts up on end like that with your hand is not going to be very accurate in my opinion
@2cthetruth2 жыл бұрын
The “standing arrow by hand” method is endorsed by dr fauci!

This is a great solution. Mine did not come with the tray. Thank you
