Thanks Brent, awesome build, that was a great demonstration of how everything with Festool works together as a system. Keep the videos coming.

I definitely learned a lot with this. And I’m sure I will even more when I build one. I don’t have a sys vac. So I’m not sure if I need that side assembly. But… I also don’t want to redesign it. LOL. Maybe I’ll add something else there. What is that tool called that you used on the 1010 to clean up the edge banding? I love that!!!! And will it work with the OF1400? Also love the sanding guide for the edges.

Loving the inspiration from Timothy Wilmots about the mortises for vertical holding. I also built myself a slightly different MFT cart but the overall idea is same.

This! 8 years down the line and it's still one of the most inspirational designs for workshop cabinetry and carts ever. Credit where credit is due!

Be aware, the Festool Rails are only available in US/CAN . So when you try to rebuild it in EU, you need to buy them in US

Brent, when you were cutting on the Kapex, you were using imperial measurements, yet the rest of your build was in metric. Just wondering why your Kapex fences are not metric too? Great series, by the way!
@festoolusa3 жыл бұрын
JT, Good catch. No excuses here. I just grabbed the wrong extensions from the shop that day. I typically only work in Metric. Brent

What is the possibility of joining two of these carts together? What if you have more than one mft and you want to lock them together for larger builds?
@ronh93843 жыл бұрын
Yes you could make it using two MFT tables. But on at least one maybe add some leveling feet in case your floor surface isn’t perfectly level. The link below is to Jason Bent’s KZbin channel and I believe he has three Mft tables on his MFT cart/assembly table. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnqtcqGIqqt-qtU
