Hi! Fantastic lesson, started doing this exercise and got complaints from my neighbors since i live in an appartment... I was wondering if this exercise has still the same effectiveness when using a straw so i don't annoy my neighbors that much? Thanks a lot for your great content! Greetings all the way from Belgium!

Hello sir could you do a video on why the voice sounds different from myself to others
@SpencerWelchVocalStudio Жыл бұрын
You mean that your voice sounds different to you compared to how it sounds to others?
@AchillesSpear41195 Жыл бұрын
@@SpencerWelchVocalStudio like you said your voice from the inside sounds different to others than yourself. I just wanted to know how sir.
@SpencerWelchVocalStudio Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your recommendation. Of course, it's a subjective experience what a singer hears inside while they're singing so it can't be measured. But I think it has to do with hearing the sound conducted through the bones of the skulls at the same time as the sound reverberating in the outside air

I have no problem singing "My Heart Will Go On", but I have problem singing Sia's "Unstoppable", right on the notes/word "unstoppable", Miley Cyrus's "Flowers", Yazoo's "Don't Go", etc., things on that range. How do they sing strong and loud right on the "crack" (F#)?
@SpencerWelchVocalStudio Жыл бұрын
I assume you’re a female singer? Are you talking about F#4, the one above middle C?
@real_hello_kitty Жыл бұрын
@@SpencerWelchVocalStudio I am a female. I believe F#4. 😊
@SpencerWelchVocalStudio Жыл бұрын
@@real_hello_kitty Oh then F#4 is not your “crack”; you should stay in chest voice up to G or Ab4. Then your “crack” would be around A4, although if you learn to mix then A4 is where your chest voice starts to connect to your head voice. You must not be singing high enough in your chest

Is there a part two where we see how to make the seagull sound nice? 😂
@SpencerWelchVocalStudio3 ай бұрын
Not at this point except for the demonstration I made in the video of where things can go. In my experience, that polishing process can be a multi-month or -year process which requires more hands-on guidance. I can demonstrate the polished sound it in a video, but there isn't a A-to-B process for everyone
