Yeah I wrote a LONG piece that had connected scenes like crazy. Calm dialogue that entered a claustrophobic chasing scene that go interrupted by a courtroom scene and then back to the chasing scene in the woods. I think I used every time measure under the sun and switched tempo and notation. It was pure fun and the scene became like this 3 minute fantastic score.

Oh wooow! Yeah that flowed so smoothly, mapping out the form with just piano seems so efficient and helped navigate those tempo shifts very well.

This is crazy good...still trying to "get" some of these metric modulations, lol. I understand the math and theory, but wow at how flawless the execution is here...bravo!!!

By far, the best video of this series, and to have condensed this amount of information and insight to short of 15 minutes is just wild. Amazing job by all involved.

Hello. I thought this video was very interesting. However; I do have a few questions. 1. When you make all of your tempo changes in your music are you actually looking at the film screen to make the various changes in the tempo of your music? 2. Do you have templates for your music for the action scenes? 3. What do you recommend for beginners to watch and learn from when trying to compose music for action scenes or cues? 4. How do you go about choosing what instruments to use in building the tensions for action scenes? 5. When you make another video would you be kind enough to show how you might watch a movie you are scoring music for and show use how you make some music for an action scene and how you pick the instruments the make the strongest impacts on the scenes. Please? This is all so very interesting to me. If you would just answer a few of my questions in another one of your videos, I would appreciate it very much? I do wish you continued success with all of your future videos and projects and I also wish you continued success financially as well. Thank you for making this video and opening my eyes to a new beginning of making music for scoring action scenes. Have a wonderful day.

Awesome video! Confused about one aspect - Can anyone help me understand how he chose to use those particular tempo/metric modulations in order to hit the cue points though? Like is it a trial and error process using math to figure out how you should divide up the time?? I see him explain what he chose in the video but not exactly how he arrived there. Thank you for the excellent material :)

@@claudioragazzi9330 Thank you sir! But is there somewhere I can learn to choose the time signatures, tempo and note variations
@crmusica
@crmusica Жыл бұрын
@@teja7217 The Tempo will depend on how fast or slow your scene is; or how fast or slow you want your piece to be. Time signatures also will depend on what you are writing, in this case I change time signatures in order to get to some desired SYNC POINTS. After you write a theme then you will create variations based on your own intuition, your common sense, your musical knowledge, your musicality, what you hear , or a combination of all of the above.

I still can't write well using a daw, I wonder how most composers do. I guess it has to do with the fact I'm a guitarist and the keyboard is really unnatural for me.😔
