I already received a few, the cpu (ryzen 5500), gpu (rx 580), and motherboard (asrock b550). The ram, psu, and ssd are in transit. In terms of peripherals, I already have them, though I'm looking to upgrade my mouse and keyboard since they're old ones. The pc case, I'm planning to either buy local brands or reuse an old work pc case. Budget friendly build, but there's lots of room to upgrade. I'm just hoping I don't fuck things up while building it.

1st build using most of the parts used in the video. I used a better gpu and psu. Issue is the case as it came with the fan hub and had the power switch wire running to it. Also in the video the only thing missing to help the 1st timers is setting this usb hub up properly. Thanks for all the great videos and information.

This case is awesome. I bought a few for $50 and wow, it was a steal. The only thing that i wish they would change is the top filter sits on the case and slides around. I wish the top was indented to help the filter sit in place. I don't use that filter because of that.

I love the builds and its helped exponentially for relearning how to build, however, the lack of actual heavy load game tests really puts me off from certain builds because it doesn't reflect the kind of gaming I enjoy doing. I recommend doing high visual game tests rather than the repetition of fortnite, cod and apex like every other builder does.

The rx 6400 is not really a good Gpu to recommend TBH, You could have picked the Arc 580 or rx 6600.

For $500 this build is pretty garbage. It's actually just garbage in general. • RX 6400 - terrible price to performance and overall value. • Only 500Gb storage • F - Tier PSU ....aka replace immediately if you value your PC at all. • Mismatch budget of CPU and mobo to the rest of the build Considering you can still squeeze better performance out of a GTX 970 or RX 580 for half the price of the heap of trash that is the RX 6400, why would you ever consider an RX 6400... • For the same price as the RX 6400 4Gb NEW you can find a fantastic condition secondhand RX 5700 XT 8Gb, which is about equal in performance to the RTX 3060. • You can pick up a 1Tb Sata SSD for less than that 500Gb M.2 SSD he listed...or just pay $10 more an get a full 1Tb SSD...don't skimp on storage when games are 50-100Gb these days... • For the PSU you can get a MAG A550BN (550W 80+ bronze, C-tier PSU) for the same price as the junk he recommended. • The mobo and CPU are mismatched in terms of price to the rest of the build. You could easily go AM4 and get a B450 board + R5 3600 or R5 5600 (depending on sale price) for the same as the CPU and mobo recommended AND get better performance out of your system. The only good recommendation was the Montech Air case, which is a solid budget choice.

@@khat6714 Agreed - If you really need to go a budget route on the GPU than a secondhand RX 580 8Gb can be found for about $50-60. If you're going to limit the GPU budget to $115 you could easily find a GTX 1660 Super, GTX 1070, RX 5600 XT, or RX 5700 XT

I've never had a gaming pc and I'm interested in trying it out, but I don't want to spend a ton on one in case I don't like it. I'm a lifetime console player lol. Anyway, most of these build videos test with fps games. I'm more into games like Conan Exiles. I would love to host and play in my own server, probably co-op. Elder Scrolls online and Red Dead online are the only games I occasionally play that I would consider MMO types. I would also love to hook up my Quest for some Steam VR gaming. I love Asgard's Wrath 2 in VR. Would there be any difference in the build for that type of gaming versus these shooters?
