Thats perfection Kev! I would have thought the copper tube wouldnt give a pure hard edge to the incoming airflow…but it sounds very crisp..well done. Regards Stuart from further North👍

Yes , i had that thought when making it on the cheap!!!, but it turned out not to bad, may be not as crisp as brass, but easier on the pocket by using what i had at hand. hi chris Yes, i think your correct in that assumption, but to the untrained ear i don't think it will be noticed. hope you sorted a route out to get your thumb put right thanks for dropping in, next video in the "can" for tomorrow, piping and fitting whistles, i'm on a roll !!!!! regards mr f

Kev, I've searched, & cannot find any plans on Model engineer clearing house for steam whistles, any chance I could get you to email them to me? I'm trying to adapt a whistle to a pressure canning kettle to alert me to when to start the 1st timer...
