I love your content, Roger. We share the same passions. My grandmother had always told me I would grow up to be an engineer of sorts and boy was she about right. I love to design all kinds of things and go find a piece of stock to make it from. I program it and set it up and run all of my own components as well. It's truly an artform and the feeling of accomplishment and passion is unmatched for me. Watching you work on projects not only makes me smile, but gives me good ideas as well as learning new tricks.

Roger as always, another great video and project. I am planning to build my second CNC in a few months and I am thinking about using a MASSO controller. The first CNC project was a lot of fun and I made many mistakes and had a lots of learnings. I was not following you at the time and I designed and built it mostly myself. Full disclosure I did borrow ideas from several others online. Have you or anyone used the MASSO controller. The MASSO is twice as much as the SMC but looks like it has a lot more capability & support and the manuals are in true English and easy to understand and they have reps in the US. I am a paying patron of yours for several months now. I am a little confused on being a patron I only get full access to one of your projects. What do I have to do to see other projects drawings and documents? Do I have to quite and join other projects or pay more? You are the first and only person that I joined as a patron. I fully value your expertise.

5 axis and up. Masso WAY TOO expensive for what it is.

Wow! An ambitious build, and it sounds like it will be a fun project! Can you provide any links to the design, or suppliers who can provide something like this as a kit? I have been looking at the OpenBuilds Lead machine, of similar size, but with a different gantry (a pair of 20-80 extrusions as the cross pieces), and using tensioned lead screws instead of ball screws. Your build would appear to be even more rigid, so any info about sourcing the components and design would be very helpful.

@@rogerwebb9600 that is VERY competitive and especially so considering the oversizing (NEMA24 instead of 23s etc). I have become enamored with the onefinity unit which is backordered. I like the 35mm double (and triple) tubular frame but consider their unit comes with no router, NEMA23s, im thinking your design is the winner! I also appreciate how you point out superior features and even limits such as your discussion of linear motion tracks vs rods and the ballscrew drives! Thank you!
