Being in the construction field I have found that vinyl siding starter channel works great. Dumpster dive when a siding crew is done and you have a few feet of FREE card holders..

I still have four of the older card displays that are built with the same concept but, the rails are held on with two-sided tape which have started to fall apart. I've been gluing them back together, as needed but, I like your idea better. If you're someone who rents a home(like me) you could build this design on something light, like pegboard and just hang the board. That way, if you move, you can just take the board(s) with you in one piece. Thank you for a great video!

I really wish they had standardized all 1/64 cards, or is there a way to mix main lines with premium or majorette using those dividers?

You just have to go by the card width that you set it at..Hot Wheels in one row, Majorette in another and so on... You set the width.

Very nice way to put all my disney pixar cars on the wall! Now i just need recommendations on how to place something in front of them to keep the dust from collecting. I'm thinking of a way to mount something like plexi glass in front of them and edges too so it will be enclosed. I think I'll attach the plexi glass to some pieces sticking out from the wall ever so often and divide the plexi glass when i need to. I just now thought of that idea. I had mine on the wall hanging on push pins but the tops of the cars got a layer of dust on them so I have to find a way to seal them. Maybe there is some other way. If anyone reads this and has an idea of how to enclose them please let me know. I will continue thinking of a way to do so. Anything can be done with today. I seen a video a minute ago and the guy said ceiling strips. I can't wait to get all mine back on the wall! I had to box up all mine to protect them. Good video. 👍

Nice concept, I have the same thing but I noticed some damage on the cards lower down due to the weight. Any solutions?

Not really... making them not so tall will alleviate some of the weight.

It all depends on how hard you push them together. I have a few with a small curl at the bottom from pushing against the blister above it. It doesn't matter to me if my cards are super mint...Many of the rare stuff is hard to find to begin with let alone finding it on a mint card. I just want to display them in order. If you're afraid of messing up the card a little, I would just leave your stuff in a protecto.

I just put push pins at the bottom of each row two of them pulls and just fine that way you can always take them out if you want to get some cards out from the bottom can you stew sided set you two sided tape five little pieces of his cards no problem

I finally got around to watching some of your videos. Then did some research and found you are exactly 5 days older than me!. Your description of discovering Hot Wheels matches mine almost exactly. However, I only rediscovered the joy of collecting in 2017. Oh how I wish I had my original full 72-car case which I gave my brother! All original Redlines and Johnny Lightnings from 1968-1972! I think he either burned or blew all of them up.

We older guys are all trying to buy back our childhood Carl! I found out that my cousins got the bulk of my collection after my parents split. My cousin Jimmy told me a few years ago! It's fun hunting for them though. I love it and I get to make new friends at the same time! Good luck!

I do collect other brand’s, but just the stuff that catches my attention. And yes, Hot Wheels stopped the First Edition series a while ago. There are many new castings in just about every new case, but they don’t call them First Edition.

We did the same thing to display our sports carts (in hard holders). they were the same size tall as Hot Wheel backer boards were wide. We used a track similar to yours but got it from a guy who installed vinyl siding.

Now that's funny,I had did the same exact thing before watching this video,I use to hang FRP,so when I was thinking of something to use to hang mine,first thing I thought of was the frp strips,light weight and perfect size for cards to fit in......works great!!

i got some original plastic divider frames , i built a few of my own using luan plywood n those divider strips, i used construction adhesive on my strips to hold them to the board , 3 hangars is all it needed to hold them

Nice way to display your vehicles, however, with present day cards, the artwork on each card is representative of the vehicle in the blister and by using this method, you don't get to see each card's artwork. Ah, the downside to collecting. With owning so many vehicles, you have to sacrifice something.

Good suggestion. However, my staple gun isn't powerful enough to penetrate the wall panel moulding. I really don't want to tape this to the wall.

How damage do the edges of the original blister pack get? Sliding them down or back up again to remove them. It didn't seem as if you had them in an extra storage case for protection. Thanks.

It all depends on how far or how hard you bring them down. Just be careful and look at them when you do it.
