Step-by-step guide:
Choose the right location: Select a flat and level area in your backyard to place the stock tank. Make sure there are no sharp objects or rocks that could damage the tank.Clean the stock tank: If the stock tank is new, give it a good rinse with water to remove any dust or debris. If it's used, clean it thoroughly with water and a mild detergent.
Drill holes for fittings: You'll need to drill holes in the stock tank to install the pool pump and filter.
Install the pump and filter: Attach the hoses and fittings to the pump and filter, and then insert them into the pre-drilled holes in the stock tank. Ensure they are securely attached and watertight.
Chlorine dispenser: If you're using a skimmer and floating chlorine dispenser, install them according to the manufacturer's instructions. The skimmer will help collect debris from the water, and the chlorine dispenser will release chemicals to keep the water sanitized.
Fill the pool: Fill the stock tank with water, leaving enough room for people to get in without overflowing. Use a hose filter or let the water sit for a while to allow any chlorine or chemicals in your tap water to dissipate.
Test the system: Turn on the pool pump and filter system to ensure everything is working correctly. Check for any leaks and adjust the settings as needed.

I would suggest drilling the holes with no water in it. You will need to clean out the metal particles after drilling. If you don’t clean them out you will get metal splinters in your feet, snd worse In your eyes

Totally agree! I remember I had to shop vac all that out after. Bing pain. I think it rained overnight before I drilled. Clear that tank out before drilling!

Not at all. You don’t need one. It’s been a year so far. I haven’t had any issues. I live by the ocean, everything rusts here. But not my tank! I keep it filled with water all year round. Cold plunges in winter!!! 🥶 Thanks for watching.

@@rolfpierre8400 I've seen photos too. I don't get it. I've had zero issues. Even when I take the chlorine out in the winter. I got mine at Tractor Supply. Maybe it's the brand???

Thanks Greg. Haha, I was thinking the same. I wonder if I ran the pump continuously, would the water freeze 🤷‍♂️ I can always just disconnect everything and keep water in. And replace it every so often.

Good question. I’m assuming not a lot. My wife would’ve said something! 😂 The pump is only on two hours a day so I can’t imagine it’s a crazy hike. Plus the pump is really small.
