Great video, I found you on Perfect Gardens with Mark, isn't it great that the good people of this growing space are now starting to get together and share their fantastic knowledge, I'm in Ireland and have been watching Shane's channel Migro and buying stuff off him, he's starting to appear with Mark, most of the information on growing is junk, I'd say 90%, extremely misleading. A video on fermenting would be amazing, I've been looking into doing this as comfrey grows in abundance here and I live by the sea for kelp brews, problem there's so much bad information out there and most of it is rubbish, I'm think using an air stone while it ferments and not sure of dosing ratios, it's a minefield but I'd listen to your advice for a good place to start.

Started my last grow with nothing but a top dress and maintenance with my ferments I've made out of popcorn buds and vegetation from veg. Used the Jadam method of fermentation. Roughly 6 weeks from harvest, and stacking up nicely! Started with a bloom ferment last grow and notice a major difference in terps, and oils. Keep pushing the good stuff!

I completely agree. I was so pumped for season 3 but so far it feels like a re-run of season 2. It’s like he always wants to tell us how easy everything is to make, but leaves us to do all the boring research instead of showing us real quick. For a lot of stuff I have a pretty good idea how to make it, I just get so freaking bored scouring the internet and sifting though all the garbage.

Thank you Jeremy and Miles. The was fantastic. Besides my reading, it has been difficult to find specific info on ferments. Jeremy’s interview with AJ filled in some of the blanks. This vid filled in a bunch more. I know I have a lot more study before I will totally understand, but at least now I know I can safely introduce these types of inputs into my grow with confidence. And I can make them on my own. Currently reading Global Natural Farming by Master Cho. Next step is to get out there and collect my own IMOs. Thanks again many times over for sharing your knowledge and experiences. Grow well my friends!

I know for making FPJ, using equal weights of vegetation and brown sugar is recommended and works well for plants with lots of juice and moisture to release, but it seems like sometimes it’s too much sugar for some plants especially if you’re collecting special harvestables from particularly dry areas. My preferred method for making FPJ is making a few different types; comfrey, cannabis, some blossoming flowers, berries, whatever is in season. Break down the large material and place each type of plant in its own jar, and mix each jar with just enough brown sugar to see the osmosis wetting the vegetation as you turn and massage the contents of the jar. Pack the material down and sprinkle a layer of brown sugar on top to protect your material from potential pathogens. Cover with a breathable lid like a coffee filter or a good cloth that bugs won’t crawl through and secure it with a rubber band. Place your jars somewhere that’s not in direct sunlight and won’t get too hot or cold. Depending on temperature, humidity, elevation, barometric pressure, the lunar phases, it could take between 3 days and 12 days to get to the right extraction point, and thats the hardest part to be honest- figuring out when the products are finalized and when is the best time for you to actually collect your juices. After you collect them individually, you can use each one at its own appropriate ratio when feeding your garden. Remember that less is usually more when feeding with multiple extracts and ferments. Fruit ferments are my favorite as a very light feeding addition during early growth and transitional phases, and then regular application rates for mid to end of season feeds when the prized crops are nearly finished. Note: I do almost the exact same thing Chris Trump shows in his videos and I hope everyone here will enjoy what he, KNFDrake and The Institute of Natural Farming have to offer here on KZbin. Chris, Drake, and Logan are like Hawaiian Natural Farming gurus.
