Build Break Repeat

Build Break Repeat

Күн бұрын

Here comes the part we've all been waiting for....reassembly! In this video the jeep transforms from a rolling shell into an almost complete running car. We install our custom roll bar, side steps, and rear bumper first. Then we install the engine in the Jeep...the Chevrolet Performance 333 hp 350 H. O. turnkey motor, which should really make this thing into a total beast. After installing the motor, we have to fabricate custom clutch linkage as well as modify the brakes for our power brake master cylinder install. Then, we install brand new fuel and brake lines as well as a brand new painless wiring harness for the CJ. We then rebuild the rear drum brakes as well as the front disk brakes and the locking hubs. Finally we are able to start up the Jeep and hear that v8 roar for the first time after making an exhaust system.
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for weekly uploads for the next part of this build where we completely wrap this build up and dial in all of the loose ends and take it for its first test drive!

The last Jeep I had was a 1980 CJ7 with a 8 cylinder motor a 304. I took that out and replaced it with a fresh rebuilt 360 V8. It ran great after that.

Most kids can’t afford to have cars worked on, so having initiative saves more money for mods. :)

Grab yourself some sealed beam turn signals for the front, it will save you time and money in the long run. They make them that fit in the factory holes without modification, and when smacked by a stick or other object off-road or a tow strap that breaks, they pop through the hole rather than break. They also look great.

Great job guys. I'm in the market for a cj5 now. It's not so common to find young guys who will even attempt to rebuild a vehicle. My first was a 65' mustang. With my Dad's help I learned a lot. Keep it up! I can't wait to see it completed.

I have had two in the past. A Golden Eagle (403) and Renegade (304). No real rebuilds, just some odds and ends. I work in a VoTech school and I just don't seek guys turning wrenches and welding anymore. They come to us with no experience. You guys have skills! Stay busy!

ill give you props for getting that booster to fit without the booster bracket......but i also hate to break it to you that it would have been a simple bolt in install if you used the brake booster bracket that goes between the booster and the firewall

There's a secret about installing a fuel pump. There's a bolt in the block under the alternator. Before you remove the fuel pump. Remove the bolt in the block and put a longer bolt in. Replace fuel pump, and put the original bolt back into the block. Girl mechanics rock!

Where did you guys get the master cylinder, radiator, fan shroud, and fan from? Thanks.
@BuildBreakRepeat
@BuildBreakRepeat 6 жыл бұрын
Colt Meagher We got the master cylinder from sunny racing, I would make sure you get a more expensive one that’s not rebuilt because we went through 2 of them before we decided to get a good one. We got the radiator from northern auto parts (came with the headers). And then the fan came from Novak it’s like the biggest one they have and we couldn’t use any of there fan shrouds because it wouldn’t fit so we got a super low profile shroud from eBay.
