nice vid but here’s some improvements : put text explaining what to do (mostly for the extra foundys that end up being destroyed) , put raid cost & build cost, and maybe some audio commentary incase people don’t understand the text :)

this is very old bunker design (princevidz) popularized this in his videos hes always using this, its very weak unless you play vanilla so i wouldnt bother on any server people will know instantly and raid you from the high foundations.

With the 2 little boxes on the top of tc loot room if you place 2 barbecues then place the little boxes under the barbecues then you’ll get 4 extra rows of loot in the loot room

Nice base, but idk if you guys have the same feeling but i'd like to learn the why of the things, for example why sometimes you can overlap building parts and sometimes you can't? how can u understand the going with triangles and then returning with squares to measure the distance for the externals TCs? ok its great to learn some bases, but the knowledge of WHY, how the system works, that info is too hard to find out there.

always build 8 squares + triangle for your externals. the triangle holds your tc and can build back until you get close to your main - it wont 'overlap', but it will extend your build privilege

Been doing something similar for the past couple of months, but it's a 3x2 or 2 triangles with squares around + triangle with TC and another on the opposite side with furnaces ^^

Noob question, this bunker base is actually epic, though I have doubts. Isn't the roof bunker inside supposed to be sealed before you log out? Means you stay inside the base and destroy basically the twig square frame to 'seal' the base up. If that's the case you probably also sealed the shoot - but that can be opened by building the roof from the 'outside'. Are we supposed to leave the twig roof outside just like that and just seal the inside bunker? Because we need that twig roof outside to open the shoot and get inside the core, then seal the bunker, but then leaving the twig outside and the shoot open. Am I missing how this base works? Please someone explain.

I know, I get the 2 roof tiles, I seen it in another video where they explained it. If u have a shotgun trap pointed at that square frame the roof is connected to, whenever someone goes in it would shoot & seal them inside, which could be good or bad depending on how much boom they have, or how much you have, or if they can despawn all ur loot... but bunkers are cool, kind of OP imo & should be taken out of the game. Make everyone use doors & it'll be a level playing field

Built the first bunker part and then free build added a shell and for got to built the bunker at the beginning so it just open at Al time did everything a could to try and fix it and couldn’t but good base design and built this base on console rust with a friend

You probably added the half wall in the "pancake" layer on the roof, you have to get rid of the one above the roofbunker

It bc you not placing them right on the part where the square meats the triangles on the out side you have to have the 3 half walls not connected to the base but connected only to the triangle foundation

Im new to rust so im probably just being dumb. But how do you get in or out? Other bunkers ive seen using the roof section have involved having twig foundations to destroy to get rid of the roof section and open your access when you spawn in. I know the concept is making it difficult for raiders but to me it looks like there is no way in or out once its built? Like i said im probably just not seeing the obvious but could someone point it out to me please. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

It's a concept video not showing everything. To open bunker you need to build and upgrade the roof from inside the bunker and then place the twig and roof outside the bunker. So you need at least one person with a bag outside the bunker and like 100 wood to build it. If you are all inside sealed with no bags outside well you cant get out.

I mean, you either sleep in the core and open the roof then kill to the second floor where you have mats waiting or you sleep on second floor to open the triangles then kill to get in the core where you have mats. Not that hard to figure out.

Yes you can you just have to build out with triangles like he did and build back with squares and you can make wide gaps but i would add another layer of honey comb to keep it more protected

Built this base and honeycombed it. Went to take a shower and 20 minutes later 1 guy raided it. Some how got past all the shotgun traps then escaped through the ceiling like it was a piece of cake. Idk how i feel about this since 1 person raided within 20. Not only did he raid this one he also raided our main base which was hidden with turrets outside.

Bases are never un'raidable you just have to make it difficult and costly. Plus your base can get an air strike which takes out all the turrets. Generally u need Sam sites, with internal and external turrets. Also being online helps if you can defend the intrusion a bit.
