20 seconds in and I have to say the best thing about this video is the fact you took the time to make sure this was do-able on console. I have 2K hours and watch every single one of your videos for most of my designs and sadly a lot end up being PC only or a few have niche workarounds. We console dwellers really appreciate stuff like this that we can do with no-hastle ❤

If you are wondering, you can add a triangle hatch on top of the bunker and also have a level 3 in front of that window. I also expanded the top floor a little bit and now a duo can easily play out of it. Great base, very cheap.

@baska-8 ай бұрын
@@FantasticKruH to be honest, last wipe I saw at least 5 Hermits on the first day or two so I stopped building it because, as you noticed, TC has become easy to find. If you really want to protect your TC, I would advise building something circular where 3 layers is still cheap, or else I don't think it's worth adding more layers on the back because doors -> bunker or sides will be cheaper and you always want the same raid cost no matter where they come from. That's just my two cents, though.

Ive memorized this base build. I’m a paranoid solo who loves to hunker down in a little turtle shell so this really appeals to me. The only downside is how the storage space is truly elevated by having the DLC. Without it, you run out of space and have to either use the upstairs area or expand on the base free-hand. But that’s literally the only thing I’d call a problem

Great video and base ❤. As a solo player I may build it on this wipe. Like the gate house, but I believe external TC is a must so would always recommend, even if build back is to the external walls. Also electrics as a solo, run 3 elec furnaces on 13 power you don’t need more. Optional add 2 more conveyors (4) and automate wood burning furnaces, so 15 power total. Lastly increase height of windmill to increase power generation, you could power 5 turrets, lights and automation on 1 windmill.

Not sure if it's been posted or not, but you don't consume power using electrical branches if the powered device is off, but you DO lose the ability to use that power further down the e-branch chain. So, if you have 6 electric furnaces, you need to set the e-branch to 18, but if the furnaces are off, the battery will show a power draw of 0, and the power out on the e-branch will only have 82 power available to use. This is why a lot of people use a separate electrical system for furnaces and/or conveyors.

One slight improvement for the electricity at the end.. its good that you use splitters for the furnaces, but instead of having 2 branches feeding 2 splitters, you can feed directly from the final turret branch into a splitter, and then connect your 2 splitters to that splitter. Because with your setup, regardless of having furnaces on or off, it will still draw 20 power
@helmholtzthemulewatson476310 ай бұрын
I was just gona say this. He is right to say splitters are better but his reasoning is not correct for this use case. You can also eliminate the second splitter altogether wiring the splitters of the mainline of the first branch allowing for less power consumption while furnaces are not running. Or better yet branch furnaces before the battery to avoid the 20% tax.

With the increase health of armored doors, does it make sense to use windows to cover loot rooms or tc anymore. Also, for anyone that might drive themselves crazy, stone barricades do require a BP. They don’t require a workbench to craft.
@dustgg10 ай бұрын
Yeah my bad they're 20 scrap! I still use windows especially in a setup like this where there are vending machines/window embrasures/windows covering it because it's more expensive to raid than an armored door. The first embrasure blocks 100% of splash damage so it takes 3 rockets to break that, and then another 3 to break the window behind it.
@darkopz10 ай бұрын
@@dustgg i appreciate the reply and info. I was quite certain rockets would splash both. Now I need to check.
@darkopz10 ай бұрын
@@dustggI did test this and was not able to replicate your results. The rockets do splash the embrasure and window. I tried it with embrasure in front and back. Rockets splashed it both ways. I even used armored window, and it's still only 4 rockets to blow past them. Give it a try yourself and let me know if you think it's changed. With this information, I'd argue an armored door still provides more protection, along with being able to bag and give a team mate the code to get TC. They need your help to remove the window to get TC.

This stability bunker has been around for many years, but it sort of fell out of fashion in favor of "new shiny" bunker methods. The problem is many of them are unreliable, require buildouts, etc.. I think as the game has matured, a lot of players are looking for simplification of their base, because building metas got out of hand and became too time/resource intensive to implement every single week for wipes.
@Italianjob9410 ай бұрын
