Lots of progress on interior systems this week! We mostly finish up the internal plumbing, get started on controls & pushrods, and finish up the baggage door. Getting really close to starting on the cabin top!

Fiberglass...bring it on!

Wanna do it for me? :-D

@@BuildFlyGo Sorry Guil, about my tongue in cheek comment, truth be told my experiences with fiberglass have been less than stellar. Did build an airboat once, and that was the last time my lovely wife allowed fiberglass work in the house.😬

Darn, thought I had found someone to do it for me :-D

A perfectionist takes great pains....and gives them to others (including themselves!).

Con you explain the ferry hose? Where does it plumb in?
@BuildFlyGo3 жыл бұрын
I'm plumbing for a ferry tank to go in the back of the plane. I'd like to fly this one to Europe and would be nice to have an extra 30 gallons of fuel in the back for the big water crossing. I'm still figuring out the design and will be sure to talk about it in detail in a future video.

Did you by chance make any “plans” for the Andair fuel valve so those of us following along don’t have to reinvent the wheel and go through the same sleepless nights worrying about our design being 3degrees off? I know being a perfectionist I would definitely be in the same boat as you. Also, which extension kit did you order? What length did you end up with?

Ugh :) Not really, it's very much a "make it fit" kind of situation. The bracket itself is easy enough, it's just a plate with 4 holes in it that you can match-drill through the valve. I bought the 6" extension kit and only used about half of it.

I keep looking at the wing step.. and wonder how many times have you cranked your shin on it walking across the shop floor

It only takes once and you don’t forget :-D

So by going with the Beringer brakes and wheels, did you delete those items from your fuselage and finish kit order or did you eat the cost?? If you deleted, how do you know the part numbers in advance since the plans come in each kit?? I just ordered my empennage kit and I'm trying to figure out those changes before I order the next few kits. Thanks.

Deleted and saved a few bucks. Reach out to AircraftSpecialty before you order and they can give you a list of the parts. You can also return parts you don’t use to vans for credit.

One more thing. Get the plans on the USB stick from Vans so you have them all ahead of time.
