Considering the self-imposed handicaps, this is particularly impressive. Obviously there are many other ways to lighten up the ski but that would require some sort of compromise such as foreign lumber, introduction of voids, or modification of ski shape/design. Very cool.

What was the length on the 3lb ski? This is awesome, I always have a ski at about that weight in my quiver for very big/long days and mountaineering missions. Would definitely consider this for my next ski in that quiver slot.

Did you guys use any CF in the 45/-45 directions? I could only see the uni going in the 0, ( I’m a hobby ski builder have had mixed luck with CF layups)

Yes, all of our carbon skis have carbon running at 0/+45/-45. You can see some of it at @7:11.
