If that's a stroker setup, double check that the oil squirter will work. The squirter's are usually removed and blocked off.

This one is just a stock crank 6.2 we’ll be showing a 426 stroker next on the channel

I seen where you said there is a film of oil on the lifters, plus your assembly lube. My last engine I let them soak in oil beforehand. I was worried about the needle bearings on the roller. Its how I was taught. I feel like it might be old school, but did you presoak them or just mineral oil from facotry?

You also wipe the bars out with WD-40 in a clean white cloth actually paper towel so you can see that there's always going to be a little bit of dirt and skunk in there

It would be cool to hear cost of build during the build, there are so many options available. ,

I've always heard that changing to arp bolts or studs, you have to have line boring done for the crank bearing are round?
@boostedmotorsports29 ай бұрын
Correct. This new machined block came from MMX with ARP mains and they line bore it out. It’s an option when ordering.

Could you tell me what is the name of the song you use in your transitions ? You use it in most videos including this one. Thanks 🙏🏻

I’m in the middle of the same build but I got a question did you do the main studs because my hellcat has bolts..I wanted to stud my mains but wasn’t sure I would need to line home it and didn’t want to get into stripping it all the way down.I’m doing the same drop in piston setup you have also..mmx got me setup also
@boostedmotorsports24 ай бұрын
Yes this one has ARP main studs and has been line honed. You definitely want to get it honed if installing ARP mains

You lined honed before drop-ins and plasti- gauged the engine🤣🤣💪💪

FYI, there's no need to locate the ring gaps on the pistons. When the engine is running the rings aren't stationary, they rotate on the pistons.

What is wrong with you man you don't use assembly Lube on pistons and rings you use WD-40 that's even what the manufacturer recommends for those rings
