Building a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse In 10 Minutes!

A true DSM build story! First of all, i want to start off by thanking the guys over at DSM headquarters for sticking along for the build journey in the last three years. I also want to thank anyone that took part of this Mitsubishi Eclipse in any way or form. Enjoy!

They're good engines, however their purpose is different than 4g63t so idk why people compare the 2 motors, it's like comparing a V6 mustang to a V8 mustang One engine is performance orientated the other is reliable daily, GS/RS and GST/GSX are just completely different cars that have the same body

My era of vehicle, Miss this car… I recall going in 1998 to a Mitsubishi dealership to buy my brand new eclipse off the lot. A 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS White. I know does not sound like much however… for a young guy 17 at the time 🤩. Nice upload 👍

As a former Neon enthusiast, it's always good to check and change the rod bearings on the 420A block. Get the ARP rod bolts and also change the rear main seal. As you probably know, those like the leak TERRIBLY. Good thing is, those engines are a dime a dozen. And they are so easy to disassemble/reassemble!

Gonna miss the white DSM:( I bet the new owner was really happy to get a his first DSM. Good question, how do you install the start/stop button on the white DSM?

He really was! You need to get it off eBay. You power it directly to the starter and ground it somewhere

Great video! I’m about to freshly rebuild my 420a eclipse from scratch. It’s currently at the machine shop getting some head work and some block work as well. Any tips when assembling it? And any parts that I should buy upgraded or any brands in specific to buy for certain parts?

Take your time. Sadly the aftermarket for the 420a platform is non existent. Most things you have to get off eBay with generic brands

Hey Miguel I have a question, when you said on a video you did a 4G63 Swap, do you mean a different 4G63 engine other than the gsx? I thought the gsx already came with 4G63 motors? Depends on the one you get. The cx racing one lets you keep fog lights
