@@PaddysBushcraft No axe on an island... Drop rocks to see how they shatter the most axe looking grind it on a grinding rock then ether use as an hand held(use grass as a shock absorber-glove) or hit with another rock and see how it goes... also work nice and slow to conserve energy...

The little hole is for the chimney/stove pipe that runs up through to the roof so that the upstairs can be heated as well. ;)

What breed of dog is Goji? We have a Jack Russell cross but no idea what he is crossed with (hes massive for a JR). he is very similar to Goji with all the same markings including the spot on his head. never know, could be very distant cousins.

I'm almost two meters tall, so the second floor of your hut wouldn't be for me. With the low room height, I would constantly bump my head. I know what I'm talking about, my last rented apartment was a nightmare because it had sloping ceilings, I couldn't stretch my legs out in bed and had my legs pulled up all the time and every morning I bumped my head when I got up.
