thank you! time will tell as far as KZbin goes. Whats hard to really see in the video is how massive this table really is. the creaks are far enough in from the edge of the table that they don't really play a factor to the functionality of the top.

Hay there Casey, having very recently subscribed to your channel I thought it was only right to go back and watch all of your video's since you said that you had only done a small handful of video's uploaded so far!!!. That said hearing you say that you aren't a Fancy woodworker and you watch lots of KZbin videos ( your not on your own 😅) it's clear to see that you have a talent, not all woodworkers have, you can weld and do a cracking job with it, plus other woodworkers have to part with their money to buy base's from the people who can weld. Anyhow buddy back to the list I have video's still to watch!!! As alway's 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.

@@tomwhite716 that’s a great question and I’ll be honest I’m still trying to figure it all out. Most of my tables sells have been word of mouth or I will build a table and try and sell it for what I thinks it’s worth. This table happen to be a repeat customer so they knew what to expect.

Thank you! I’ve got a super curly blackwalnut desk that will probably be the next video. I’m almost done designing the legs. I’ve got a double x base in the works. (Very simple compared to my normal bases). I’ve got another conference table that I might waterfall one end. I’ve got a clean simple coffee table. I’ve got a few in work :)

Awesome table, and great first vid! Super cool to get your son into the biz so early. If you can afford it, think about putting his earnings in his own Roth IRA (and give him an equal amount to spend so it doesn't feel like he's losing out) to get a super early jump on retirement investing.

My favorite thing is to watch table makers, especially huge ones! To see one who is metal leg artisan is an extra treat. For a first video you did extremely well and I'll definitely be back for more. I've been following Cam as well as others for a couple of years now, and it's so nice to watch a new comer with such skills. At last... someone making fabulous legs to set off a fabulous slab! The other woodworkers always say things like 'we're keeping the base simple to show off the slab' and I'm always sad and disappointed. I particularly like this design, it looks suitably sturdy but also with gaps to make it 'seem' lighter. Lovely. Well done. :D Great vid too... narrating is harder than people think, you did a great job on that. :)

hahaha thats great! i actually edited a lot of the beginning out cause i did it so much i figured people were going to give me crap lol. i don't use a auto darkening setup so its just a pain to constantly lift my hood.

i like to joke that the youtube algorithm knows me a little too well, but i can’t complain when it recommends me great small channels like this! i know first hand how difficult shooting on the fly (or at least without a detailed shot list) can be, and that’s before you even get into the time sink and headache that editing can be. for a first video this is fantastic! my only recommendations: to make more use (if you aren’t already) of a tripod and/or handheld gimbal, they make really adorable tiny ones these days that make changing shots a breeze. i’m also detecting a very slight echo in the audio… it sounds weird but if you have difficulty with that in the future you can always pull the ‘record VO inside a closet’ trick lol. and maybe lower the volume a wee bit on that outro music. but great job and your editing narrative was very clear, looking forward to seeing where this channel goes!
