That is like the Nightmare unsighted delivery ever! Glad you guy's got it all in and sorted. I build fish tanks for a living, and I always always, get the customer to send us pictures or video of the delivery route so we know what we are up against. If there are stairs, we either get the customers to provide man power, or we hire extra people for the job.We can't improvise like you guy's did with glass. 🙂
@Ceen328 Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I would not even try to lift it up that way. Some cornerst looked really sketchy. If you get stuck, you are fucked and may have to cut the table out. That would be the absolute worst case. Just rent the truck for a few more days and get a small crane to lift it thru the window. Removing and reinstalling that kind of windows is not a big deal.

Before I read/noticed/realized that John was an offensive lineman, I was thinking he had the demeanor and sense of humor of a lineman. I never got to play past high school but I was a defensive lineman. I always thought if you were big and smart, you played O-line and if you were big and dumb, you played D-line.. I couldn't remember plays and when it involved pulls and what to do against different fronts and stuff (a lot of 5 fronts back then), but I was big and I was a maniac, so I just played D-line/DT. I did play center before that though.

John, thank you for supporting the veteran community. I am an Air Force veteran, 1972-1976. I served in the continental U.S. and make no apologies for it. I am not in the job market, but this company seems to be on the up and up. Job well done John.
@inmyimage1081 Жыл бұрын
why would anyone need to apologize for serving during the height of the Vietnam War and the tension of the cold war? There could also be significant stress in domestic jobs in the Air Force, for example… my dad commanded Titan II missile control and launch teams which meant he spent a MOST of time living in the silo command and operations centers/bunkers 50 feet underground underground knowing that his wife and toddler son would be vaporized because they lived in an area absolutely guarantied to get hit by several nuclear warheads. So… how much stress do you think he had during the same time period you served?

Alright man. I live in UT, so what I’m fit’nuh tell you might not apply. BUT, close to my house is an acrylic distributor… and they allow me to “raid” their scrap bins… and when you use acrylic with epoxy, it’s all reusable, and it separates from the epoxy with ease!!!!! So, there might be a plastics distributor near you that you could partner with/allow you to raid their scraps… The acrylic idea woulda helped with the edge epoxy pour, and I have found the acrylic method worked WELL!

I would highly suggest asking the ask for a video of parking lot to delivery room from customer prior to making any large project. Sometimes, it is literally impossible, other times they just think they have more room to move around than they realize for a project. I can think of a pool table brought to my house. Huge ass room and down stairs. It barely fit down the stairs and there actually wasn’t enough room to play. And I actually thought it was a good idea. Thank god I didn’t have to take it down there or get it out of it. But with the video, you can request a few measurements of stairs and hallways to confirm that you can deliver the product Bueatiful project as usual. I guess asking for all that info wouldn’t make as good of a video. Great company. I will keep them in mind as I find vets getting out as well as the thousands that are already out. Once I start hiring, vets are who I want first and foremost

Serious question about epoxy and bark. At about the 8:00 minute mark, you begin to remove the bark at the end of the table and fill the void with epoxy. Why can't you just fill the area with bark with epoxy? Won't that just "glue" the bark in place? Won't it encapsulate the bark and preserve it, preventing it from rotting and/or falling out?
