Those piston were first tried by Stihl chainsaws. In there motors they hold up well from what I know. It's a great piston I'm understanding oh that is a two-stroke application. But it rocks.

Or put piston in oven to certain temp. And measure cold then hot. Calculate growth. Then you know your running tolerance, and you can calculate with math or google to figure out the coefficient of the material your working with so you get the right number expansion rate. That’s how the engineers do it so you have plug and play numbers

Love the 4th gen info currently have a 12 limited that’s black and dressed with some jewelry but no lift as disability prevents climb.. power boards are nice!! I have sourced parts for 68 rfe from all of the top names to build a great trans Revmax billet od shaft is a thing of beauty.. billet 2c4c+ accumulator pistons..as well parts form Ats, Suncoast, DNJ, Transgo, sonnax, Georund and BD trying to get the best parts for a 800 hp build😁 extra clutches,clearance and pressure with top quality parts😁

Cant wait to see what you guys can do with that 68rfe. I want to get some aftermarket parts for my 6.7 and some day get compounds. Its an 07.5 mega long bed so I'm keeping it a while.

Did you guys use that lighter crankshaft to build more horsepower for rotational Mass inside the engine?and with the lighter crankshaft if you build more horsepower would your torque and horsepower numbers be more comparable to each other?

What specs are you missing or needing? When these pistons were installed, this was the second set ever installed in a Cummins engine, so it was still deep in the R&D process.
