When I was around 8 I was mowing our yard and our elderly neighbors yard was so bad that I felt sorry and did theirs too. They wanted to pay me but instead I had her cook me some sweets. Every month I would do their yard at least once to keep it down and she would bring over a plate of snacks for me after wards. Started yard service that year doing others, but those plates of cookies was worth way more than the 20 bucks I charged others. I still remember the "Jacksons" even though it's 40 years later.

As we get older having level walking paths are so important, I’m grateful your video found me! And grateful for the love you share with your community 💖
@dana102083Ай бұрын
May keep weed free but wont keep it level forever. It will.come down to what soil is underneath and how easily it's packed down.
@brandonhemphill5638Ай бұрын
A way to prevent weeds completely is to use polymeric sand in between the joints! You sweep the sand between all of the joints and make sure everything is good and there is no sand left on top and then you lightly missed the pavers and the polymeric sand hardens like concrete when you add water to it. Make sure you have all of that excess sand swept off and everything is, clean before you spray the water on the pavers because that stuff is a pain to get off the top of Pavers. It has been wet and starts setting up.

Paver pads are worth every penny! Lightweight, easy to transport from store, each covers a good amount of area- Thanks for showing how to cut them.
@sarebear5207Ай бұрын
But the pavers arent secured they will move about when ppl walk on them
@elizabethwhite325Ай бұрын
@ you are right - so to fix that, these paver bases are held in place by digging down into the surrounding dirt and dropping the base layer into that dug out area like a picture into a frame. In the video he starts by showing he has dug the grass out, put in a little leveling base of sand or dirt, then smashed it down nice and flat with a tamper. Then he put down the paver base level. The edges have alternating tabs so they fit together tightly and help support each other. He had to cut some pieces since they all need to fit together snugly in the frame. I did a walkway project like this a few years ago and it is amazing. I put my pavers right next to each other and filled in the little gaps with sand. He spaced his pavers farther apart and filled in with gravel. That also helps hold the pavers in place. The paver base pieces are so much better than hauling sand for a base layer. Great work!

I just found out about the "labor of love" y'all provide free of charge to your community. You guys are AWESOME! I've never followed anybody on social media before, but you and your wife are doing GREAT GOD-INSPIRED Heartwarming work. I'm a follower now.

I love it! I love all the jobs you do, the fences, and the walkways. Your neighbors must all love you. We've been doing walkways but worked much harder on ours, and they don't look nearly as nice.
